Abstract: Bite-actuated mouthpieces and drink vessels including bite-actuated mouthpieces are disclosed. Bite-actuated mouthpieces comprise a body comprising a dispensing wall, one or more sidewalls extending from the dispensing wall that with the dispensing wall define an internal volume, and an inlet to the internal volume. The self-sealing exit is biased toward a closed configuration and is configured to be selectively reconfigured from the closed configuration to an open configuration responsive to user-applied compressive forces to opposing bite regions. The dispensing wall has a dispensing face opposite the internal volume, and in some examples, the dispensing face is concave.

Abstract: Drink bottles, or drink containers with cap assemblies that include a drink spout. In some embodiments, the drink spout is pivotally coupled to a base of the cap assembly. In some embodiments, the drink spouts include mouthpieces, including self-sealing and/or bite-actuated mouthpieces. In some embodiments, the cap assembly includes a handle, which may include at least one guard for the drink spout and/or mouthpiece. In some embodiments, the drink containers include an on/off valve. In some embodiments, the dispensing spout includes a mount for the mouthpiece and/or cooperates with the cap to provide a manual on/off valve to selectively restrict flow of drink fluid from the drink container regardless of the drink spout's and/or mouthpiece's configuration. In some embodiments, the drink containers include a drink tube extending from external of the drink containers and/or an air return system.

Abstract: Backpacks with cooperatively adjusted hip belt segments and compression strap segments. A backpack includes a pack body, a shoulder strap, and a belt assembly. The pack body includes a back panel and an exterior panel. The belt assembly includes a compression strap segment, a hip belt segment, an adjustment strap, and a releasable fastener. The backpack includes a belt assembly waist loop with a belt assembly waist perimeter. Each adjustment strap is configured to selectively adjust each of the pack volume and the belt assembly waist perimeter. The belt assembly is configured such that, responsive to the user applying a tension force to the adjustment strap, each of a pack volume and the belt assembly waist perimeter decreases by a respective degree that depends upon a ratio of the force required to decrease the pack volume to the force required to decrease the belt assembly waist perimeter.

Abstract: A drink container including a liquid container having a neck with an opening and having an internal compartment sized to hold a volume of potable drink liquid and a cap assembly removably coupled to the liquid container, the cap assembly including a base removably coupled to the neck of the liquid container and including a through-passage extending through the base, a first catch structure coupled to the base, a mouthpiece assembly including a rigid collar member having second catch structure adapted to be selectively engaged with the first catch structure, and a user release mechanism adapted to automatically disengage the first and second catch structures upon actuation of the user release mechanism.
Abstract: Cap assemblies with magnetic closure retention mechanisms and drink containers including the same. A cap assembly includes a base, a drink spout defining a passage, a closure configured to be selectively transitioned between a closed configuration and a stowed configuration via an open configuration, and a magnetic closure retention mechanism to magnetically retain the closure in the stowed configuration. When the closure is in the closed configuration, the closure is operatively coupled to the drink spout and obstructs the flow of liquid therethrough. When the closure is in the open configuration or the stowed configuration, the drink spout is uncovered and unobstructed by the closure. When the closure is in the stowed configuration, the closure is magnetically retained against the base or a handle of the cap assembly.
Abstract: A fluid container including a fluid vessel having a neck with an opening and having an internal compartment sized to hold a volume of fluid, the internal compartment being at least partially enclosed by an opaque layer, a closure assembly removably coupled to the fluid container to cover the opening, and two or more fluid level indicators defined in the opaque layer, each fluid level indicator comprising a translucent or transparent material configured to permit light to pass through the opaque layer and into the internal compartment, at least two of the two or more fluid level indicators being positioned on circumferentially opposed sides of the fluid vessel.
