Abstract: A sensor switch with water suppression includes a sensor electrode and a photodiode connected to an evaluation circuit. The evaluation circuit generates a capacitive sensor signal indicative of an electrically-conductive object in the proximity of the sensor switch and an optical sensor signal indicative of an object at least partially opaque or impermeable to light in the proximity of the sensor switch. The capacitive sensor signal and the optical sensor signal are correlated with one another to generate an output signal.
Abstract: A sensor switch including a first sensor electrode and a second sensor electrode at least partially surrounding the first sensor electrode. An evaluation and control circuit of the sensor switch is configured to generate a switch output signal if a first sensor electrode attenuation signal indicates a high signal attenuation, a second sensor electrode attenuation signal indicates a low signal attenuation, and a cross-coupling signal from the first to the second electrode indicates a low cross-coupling.
Abstract: A capacitive sensor including a sensor electrode connected to a signal generation circuit and a signal evaluation circuit. The signal generation circuit contains a signal generator that is a noise generator or a pseudo-noise generator, the signal evaluation circuit includes a synchronous rectifier. The synchronous rectifier is connected for synchronization to the signal generator.
