Patent number: 8146392Abstract: A latch has a housing and a dead bolt shiftable on the housing between extended and retracted positions. A latch nut is rotatable on the housing and connectable to door handles and carries actuating and panic levers. An actuating element is connected between the dead bolt and the actuating lever, and a panic element is connected between the panic lever and a locking pawl and is movable between an unactuated position and an actuated position to shift the locking pawl into an unlocked position. A key cylinder on the housing has a movable actuating lug movable between a locking end positing and a freeing end position. A pivotal locking pawl is shiftable by movement the actuating lug of the key cylinder into a locked position blocking movement of the actuating element and holding the dead bolt in the extended position and an unlocked position freeing the bolt and actuating element.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2007Date of Patent: April 3, 2012Assignee: Carl Fuhr GmbH & Co. Patent number: 6962377Abstract: A driving rod lock for a sliding door, with a lock housing (2) which is arranged to the rear of a cuff plate (1) and which comprises a driving member for a driving rod (3) for driving bolt elements (4), which driving rod is displacable between a blocked position and an open position of the lock by actuation of the driving member along the rear side of the cuff plate, with a tracer (5) which extends through an opening of the cuff plate (1) and which, with a blocking section (6) arranged in the lock housing (2), blocks displacement of the driving rod (2) from the open into the closed position and releases displacement in a position pressed in against the force of a return spring (7). Improving a such sliding door lock with respect to handling, the driving member is a latch nut (8).Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 2003Date of Patent: November 8, 2005Assignee: Carl Fuhr GmbH & Co. Patent number: 6929293Abstract: A driving rod lock, in particular a sliding door lock, with at least one driving rod (2, 3) starting from a lock housing (1), for driving at least one bolt element (4), wherein the at least one driving rod (2, 3) is displaceable by means of energy stored in an energy storing device (5) after release of the energy storing device (5) by discharge from a ready-to-close position into a closed positions, wherein the energy storing device (5) can be loaded by actuation of a latch nut (6) upon return of the at least one driving rod (2, 3) and released by a release mechanism. The release mechanism is formed by a blocking member (7) which holds the at least one driving rod (2, 3) in the closed position against return by the latch nut (6), wherein the latch nut (6) is blocked against rotation in the blocking position of the blocking member (7).Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2003Date of Patent: August 16, 2005Assignee: Carl Fuhr GmbH & Co. Patent number: 6810699Abstract: An espagnolette (1) for the fixed leaf of a double-leaf door, having a lock case (5) in which there is mounted a handle follower (9) by rotational actuation of which at least one driving rod (20, 26) can be displaced parallel to a lock case front (6), the end of the rod forming or controlling a bolt, the espagnolette having an entry opening (7, 8) for a bolt (4) or a latch (3) of a lock (2) associated with the moving leaf, a driving-rod connection slide (20, 26) which is guided in the lock case (5) being assigned a blocking element (28, 29) which, in the open position of the lock mechanism (1), is located in the region of the entry opening (7, 8), in order to obstruct the entry of the bolt (4) of the moving-leaf lock mechanism, and, in the locked position of the lock mechanism (1), is located outside the region of the entry opening (8) such that the displaceability of the driving rod (26) into the open position can be blocked by entry of the bolt (4) of the moving-leaf lock mechanism.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 2003Date of Patent: November 2, 2004Assignee: Carl Fuhr GmbH & Co. Patent number: 5339663Abstract: A lock cylinder which can be actuated from one side by a knob and from the opposite side by a key, has a locking-member hub and a cylinder core which has tumblers adapted to be positioned by the key. A free passage is provided between a coupling member and a locking-member hub so that the coupling member entrains the locking-member hub only in one direction of rotation and can be freely turned back from the entrainment end position.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 1992Date of Patent: August 23, 1994Assignee: Carl Fuhr GmbH & Co.Inventor: Ralf Doring

Patent number: 5301525Abstract: A lock, particularly a mortise lock, with bolt (9) and preferably catch (43) and a step-up lever (27) which acts on the bolt (9) and is equipped with a closure engagement opening (30) and is pivoted below the axis of rotation of the closure bit, for the closing of the bolt (9) in forward and backward direction while obtaining a lengthening of the closing stroke; in order to optimize the design, it is proposed that the path of movement of the closing engagement opening (30) extend approximately over a quarter-circle (V) of the cylindrical head (7) of a profiled-cylinder insertion opening (4).Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 1992Date of Patent: April 12, 1994Assignee: Carl Fuhr GmbH & Co.Inventor: Rolf Doring

Patent number: 5171047Abstract: A drive-rod lock having drive-rods which can be displaced by turning the door handle or the like, and a nut associated with the door handle, which nut, held in its basic central position, can be swung out of said position against spring action in the opposite direction, the lock case bearing a cuff rail which continues beyond the lock case into freely extending cuff rail sections (1') behind which there are guided the drive-rods (48) which so control additional locking members, for instance swivel bolts arranged in the region of the cuff rail sections (1').Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 1990Date of Patent: December 15, 1992Assignee: Carl Fuhr GmbH & Co.Inventors: Klaus Korb, Ralf Doring

Patent number: 5058938Abstract: A drive-rod lock has drive rods which can be displaced by turning a door handle or the like, and a nut associated with the door handle. The nut, held in its basic central position, can be swung out of that position against spring action in the opposite direction. The lock case bears a cuff rail which continues beyond the lock case into freely extending cuff-rail sections behind which there are guided drive rods. The drive rods control additional lock members, for instance swivel bolts, arranged in the region of the cuff-rail sections. These locking members operate both by the turning of the door handle and as a result of release of at least one force accumulator acting on the drive rods. Operation is obtained by means of a release which is actuated upon the closing of the door by the frame, or the like, and for a favorable positioning of the release even with a small depth of the drive-rod lock.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 1990Date of Patent: October 22, 1991Assignee: Carl Fuhr GmbH & Co.Inventors: Ralf Doring, Klaus Korb
