Patents Assigned to Carl Walther GmbH
  • Patent number: 4422256
Abstract: A shoulder firearm, such as a sport rifle and the like, has a cheek-piece which is adjustable vertically and laterally with respect to the gunstock. Two spacer members are loosely positioned in correspondingly aligned bores or recesses in the cheek-piece and gunstock. Each spacer member has a plurality of pairs of opposed parallel surfaces and the distances between each pair of parallel surfaces are different. The spacer members may be in the form of blocks or cylindrical elements. By varying the placing of the spacer members in the recesses or bores of the cheek-piece and gunstock, the cheek-piece can be set at different heights.

  • Patent number: 4326353
Abstract: A hand firearm, such as an automatic pistol, has a butt or handle in which a magazine is mounted. The magazine is retained in position by a locking member which can be actuated from either side of the pistol by the hand of the user holding the firearm. The locking member is a spring-loaded lever which has a projection received in an opening in the wall of the magazine to lock the magazine in position. An actuating member extends on both sides of the firearm and is operatively connected with the locking lever so that actuation of the actuating element will pivot the lever to unlock the magazine.

  • Patent number: 4313274
Abstract: A hand firearm has an axially movable firing pin which can be secured against axial displacement and a pivotable hammer which is retained in its cocked position by a safety lever. Upon actuation of the trigger a trigger arm first engages a release lever to disengage the firing pin from axial securement and subsequently engages the safety lever to release the safety lever from the hammer so that the hammer under the action of a spring moves from its cocked position to the firing position. The free end of the trigger arm is provided with longitudinally and laterally mutually offset abutments which sequentially engage the release lever and then the safety lever.

  • Patent number: 4134223
Abstract: A hand firearm has a breech block pivotally mounted in the frame so as to be pivotable downwardly from a closed position to a loading position. The breech block has a firing pin mounted therein which is actuated by an armature of an electro-magnet also disposed in the breech block. A source of electrical energy in the form of a removable unit is disposed in the frame and connected electrically to the coil. This electrical connection to the coil is disconnected when the breech block is pivoted downwardly into its loading position so that the electro-magnet can not be energized and thus actuation of the firing pin is prevented.
