Patents Assigned to CDI Energy Products
  • Patent number: 10752824
Abstract: Disclosed are time controlled, hydrolytically degradable compositions that include a polyurethane; precipitated silica, carbon black, or a combination thereof; an organic acid adapted to facilitate degradation when the composition is contacted with water; a stabilizer; a first crosslinking agent; and an optional co-agent. The composition is adapted to degrade over a predetermined time period upon contact with water at a pH ranging from 5 to 8 and at a temperature ranging from 100° F. to 250° F.

  • Patent number: 10526863
Abstract: Compositions and methods are beneficial for use in downhole applications, especially oil and gas well bores. A composition includes an elastomer doped with a dopant. The presence of the dopant increases a rate of microbial degradation of the elastomer by a microbe. A method includes forming an article including a doped polymer. The doped polymer includes an elastomer doped with a dopant. The method also includes placing the article in a service environment. The presence of the dopant in the doped polymer increases a rate of microbial degradation of the elastomer by a microbe in the service environment.

  • Patent number: 10378522
Abstract: A piston pump including a cylinder body having an internal fluid chamber, a piston configured to axially cycle within the cylinder body, an inlet valve, an outlet valve, an annular seal positioned between the piston and cylinder body, a barrier fluid pocket formed in the cylinder body adjacent one end of the annular seal, and a barrier fluid contained within the barrier fluid pocket, the barrier fluid preventing suspended solids in pumped fluid from contacting the annular seal.

  • Patent number: 9556700
Abstract: An expandable downhole sealing assembly in which an axial setting force is applied to radially compress and self-energize an expanding element such that stored radial forces in the expanding element effect and maintain a seal thereafter. The sealing assembly can be used to provide a seal between a casing and a mandrel in a well, among other applications.

  • Publication number: 20140262209
Abstract: A sealing assembly for sealing an annulus in a downhole application including a sealing ring and a deflecting ring axially aligned between axially opposed mesh back-ups, each of the sealing ring and the deflecting ring defining a first ramped end, the first ramped ends facing each other such that an axial set force applied to the deflecting ring deflects the sealing ring radially outward forcing the sealing ring into a side-by-side arrangement with the deflecting ring to fill and seal the annulus.
