Abstract: A hole opener includes a body with cone arms. The body includes pockets formed in the body in which each of the pockets includes a forwardly-positioned shoulder pocket section, a rearwardly-positioned tapered pocket section and a base opening axially extending through a wall of the corresponding pocket that receives a fastener therethrough. The cone arms each include a cone head attached to an arm. The arm includes a forwardly-positioned shoulder arm section, a rearwardly-positioned tapered arm section, and a rearwardly-facing opening axially extending through the rearwardly-positioned tapered arm section that receives the fastener.

Abstract: A shoehorn including an elongated blade defining a laterally extending arched geometry with lateral sides that are higher than the center portion and a substantially hollow handle defining a design feature selected by the user inspired by a favorite pastime such as golf, tennis, baseball, basketball, or other generally spherical members is provided. A method of producing a shoehorn including a handle feature inspired by a particular hobby of the user includes providing a polymeric material, injection molding the polymeric material into the shape of a blade as described above, and saving a significant amount of manufacturing material (at least 50%) by molding the handle feature with a substantially hollow center and about one half of the handle defining a plurality of cores therein is also provided.

Abstract: An improved hole opener assembly for horizontal drilling is disclosed that is less prone to failure as a result of cone arm break out or pocket side wall fracture. The interface between the cone arm and the pocket employs a key and slot configuration with a tighter fit than between the arm and the pocket to reduce the stress on the pocket side wall during drilling.

Abstract: A resilient synthetic resin toilet seat which includes a preformed stiffening portion having an internal foamed core. The core is enveloped in an unfoamed self-skin. A cushioning portion is molded thereon and has an internal foamed core enveloped in a tough but resilient self-skin unitarily extending from the top and sides of said stiffening portion. A resilient synthetic resin toilet seat lid having an internal foamed core enveloped in an unfoamed skin, a method of making the seat and lid by molding, as well as molds for use in such molding, are also disclosed.

Abstract: An improved hinge joint construction for a collapsible child pen. A longitudinally extending yoke member includes means defining an opening in a longitudinal end thereof. A longitudinally extending rod member has a longitudinal end portion disposed partially within the opening and which is adapted to be pivoted relative to the yoke member in a direction bringing the rod member into longitudinal alignment with the yoke member during assembling of the structure. A cap member is interconnected with the yoke member for rotation about an axis which is fixed with respect to the yoke member, and the yoke member defines means for resisting movement of the cap member in the direction of the axis. The cap member is interconnected with the longitudinal end of the rod member to support the rod member for pivotal movement about the axis.

Abstract: A top or guard for an infant's dressing table or dresserette is provided which is so designed and constructed as to reduce or minimize the possibility of the infant rolling or falling off the table. The top is of such construction that it can be shortened to conform in dimensions or area with the table or dresserette when the latter is folded or closed. It comprises sections, one of which is pivotally movable in relation to the other whereby the movable section may be folded to a position in superimposed and enclosing relation to the other. A feature comprises the securement of the movable section to the other section, in hinged relationship, without the provision of hinges which are permanently secured to the sections. Another feature is the provision of means on one of the sections for causing the other section to be moved into coplanar relationship with the other, when the sections are in open position.
