Patent number: 10569220Abstract: For the purification of waste gas containing carbon compounds and nitrogen oxides by means of a regenerative post-combustion system, at least two regenerators (A, B, C) filled with heat accumulator bodies (7a, 7b, 7c) and connected by a combustion chamber (10) are provided, wherein the waste gas is alternately heated in a regenerator (A, B, C), the carbon compounds are oxidised in the combustion chamber (10), and, with the addition of a nitrogen-hydrogen compound, the nitrogen oxides are reduced in the combustion chamber (10) thermally and thus not catalytically. Remaining nitrogen oxides are removed by means of a catalytically active heat accumulator layer (6a, 6b, 6c) and the addition of a further nitrogen-hydrogen compound in the regenerator (A, B, C) from which the clean gas exits.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2018Date of Patent: February 25, 2020Assignee: Chemisch Thermische Prozesstechnik GmbHInventors: Thomas Binninger, Kai Schulze

Patent number: 10099174Abstract: For purifying waste gas charged with nitrogen oxides in a reactor with heat-accumulator chambers containing heat-accumulator materials, the raw gas to be purified alternately enters one of the heat-accumulator chambers. Mixed with a reducing agent for the reduction of the nitrogen oxides, it is supplied to a catalyst for the reduction of the nitrogen oxides, and the clean gas heats the heat-accumulator material in the heat-accumulator chamber which the clean gas exits. A partial flow is taken therefrom, heated by means of a heat source and, mixed with a reducing agent, supplied again to the heat-accumulator chamber which the raw gas enters. This heated, recirculated gas forms the only heat source for the overall system.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 2016Date of Patent: October 16, 2018Assignee: CHEMISCH THERMISCHE PROZESSTECHNIK GMBHInventors: Christian Mulleder, Franz Ortner

Patent number: 8961885Abstract: A device for the purification of polluted waste gas by means of regenerative thermal oxidation. The device has at least two heat-accumulator towers having a common combustion chamber and each containing a heat-accumulator material, the upper ends of which face the combustion chamber. The heat-accumulator towers are each connected via a control chamber to a channel for the supply of the raw gas to be purified and a channel for the discharge of clean gas. The two channels are each connectable to the at least two heat-accumulator towers via the control chambers for an alternating supply of raw gas and discharge of clean gas via shut-off devices actuable by actuators. The two channels are arranged laterally adjacent to the heat-accumulator towers and are located adjacent each other and above the respective control chambers and interconnected with the respective control chambers through openings therebetween, with the openings being closable via shut-off devices.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 2011Date of Patent: February 24, 2015Assignee: CTP Chemisch Thermische Prozesstechnik GmbHInventors: Hans-Jürgen Lesky, Johannes Schedler, Heimo Thalhammer

Patent number: 8939761Abstract: For the purification of waste gas containing nitrogen oxides in combination with CO, VOCs or nitrous oxide, in particular waste gas resulting from the production of cement clinker, nitric acid, adipic acid, fertilizers and uranium trioxide, a regenerative thermal post-combustion system with at least two regenerators (A, B) is used by means of which the CO, VOCs and nitrous oxide are thermally purified in the combustion chamber (1) at a temperature of 800 to 1000° C. and the nitrogen oxides are thermally reduced with the SCR catalyst (6) by adding a nitrogen-hydrogen compound, wherein the waste gas already thermally purified is removed from the respective two-part regenerator (A or B) at a suitable place at a temperature of approx. 300° C., guided via the SCR catalyst (6) in a constant direction of flow and subsequently fed back to the remaining section (A?, B?) of the regenerator (A or B).Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2014Date of Patent: January 27, 2015Assignee: Chemisch Thermische Prozesstechnik GmbHInventor: Christian Mülleder
