Abstract: An adjustable, folding mount for attaching a flat panel display to a fixed structure. The mount includes a portion adapted to attach to an element of a fixed structure, and a swing arm operably coupled thereto. The swing arm is selectively positionable along a path of travel between a folded position proximate the fixed structure and an extended position wherein the swing arm depends downwardly from the fixed structure. A device interface portion operably couples the other end of the swing arm and the flat panel display. The mount includes friction means arranged to apply a first frictional resistance force opposing positioning of the swing arm toward the extended position, and a second frictional resistance force opposing positioning of the arm toward the folded position, the first frictional resistance force being greater than the second frictional resistance force.

Abstract: A self-balanced adjustable mounting system for a flat panel display. When a flat panel display is attached to the mounting system, the display is adapted to revolve about a substantially horizontal axis extending proximate a center of gravity of the display. The system may be self-balancing at a plurality of locations about the axis.

Abstract: A self-balancing mounting system for a flat panel display including a first bracket having a first pivot point and a second bracket having a first sliding pivot mechanism with a sliding range of motion located below the first pivot point relative to a vertical axis. The second bracket includes a range of motion between a generally vertical position and a tipped forward position. A minor arm having a first end is pivotally attached to the first pivot point on the first bracket and a second end is pivotally engaged with the first sliding pivot mechanism on the second bracket such that a first force causing the second bracket to tip forward biases the second end of the minor arm upward in the first sliding pivot mechanism.

Abstract: A modular projector lift system for moving a projection device along a path between an extended position and a retracted position. The modular projector lift system includes a drive assembly expandable along a first axis. At least one movable support is mechanically engagable with the drive assembly at a plurality of positions along the first axis. The movable support moves the projection device between the extended position and the retracted position. A brake mechanism is optionally included for retaining the projection device at a particular location. The brake mechanism includes a plurality of rotating brake plates connected to the drive shaft of the drive assembly and a plurality of static brake plates connected to the drive assembly compressively engaged with the rotating brake plates. Adjustable limit switches are optionally provided for adjusting a location of the retracted and the extended positions along the path.
