Abstract: An apparatus for imaging cells including a culture chamber, in which a cultivation sub-structure is placed, imaging optics, and actuators for providing the relative movement of the cultivation substructure and the imaging optics in such a way that the imaging optics is used to image different sites in the substructure. The cultivation substructure is isolated as a subchamber of its own that is separate from the culture chamber, and imaging is carried out by moving the imaging optics and the subchamber in relation to each other.

Abstract: A substructure for cultivating cells including well-like culture sites separate from each other. The cultivation substructure is closed from above hermetically with a lid which, together with the substructure, limits an air space being common to the culture sites and having a gas inlet and a gas outlet. Water has been added onto the bottom of the cultivation substructure in the areas outside the culture sites, to maintain humidity in the air space.
Abstract: A micromanipulator for positioning/localization of an operating instrument coupled therewith. The micromanipulator controls movement of the operating instrument in a single- or multi-axial system of coordinates with one or more electrical actuators. The electrical actuators are especially for providing a substantially elongated structure for the micromanipulator. The one or more actuators including a piezoelectric bender enable the positioning/localization of the operating instrument for providing at least one desired direction of motion.

Abstract: An analysis and culture apparatus including several wells, which have a cover that closes the well to form a closed space, as well as at least one inlet passage and one outlet passage for introducing matter to a closed space and for removing it from a closed space, respectively. The cover is formed as a separate cap, which can be removably attached to the well, with which the well can be closed, and to which the inlet passage and outlet passage are integrated.
