Abstract: A carton, a method and an apparatus for forming a novel carton, having a waterproof lining are disclosed. The carton preferably may include a base portion, leading and trailing end edges, first and second side edges, leading and trailing end flaps, and first and second side flaps. The waterproof lining may be affixed to the carton by an adhesive pattern disposed on the at least a portion of the carton. Upon folding of the flaps about the base portion, a container having a waterproof lining may be formed for retaining objects. The waterproof lining may include a bag and may further include a means for sealing the bag for enclosing wet objects, such as seafood products, therein.
Abstract: A method of preparing a carton with a prefolded interior paper lining includes feeding carton blanks having a surface, the surface having leading and trailing edges and right and left side edges, feeding a paper web, folding the paper web to have a base portion having an edge and at least a first flap joining the base portion at a first crease, cutting a section off the paper web, and inserting the paper section with the carton blank surface, such that the edge and crease of the base portion of the paper are spaced a predetermined distance inward from each respective carton blank side edge.

Abstract: A folding box of the type having a pair of telescoping box members, at least one which is formed from a composite blank including a sheet of foldable stiff material and a sheet of flexible material attached to the stiff sheet, and the stiff material forming a first surface and the flexible material forming a second surface. Each box member comprises a base panel having a pair of opposed side edges and a pair of opposed end edges; a pair of end panels, each having a first section connected to an end edge of the base panel, a third section defined by a free edge and a second section that is intermediate the first and third sections and connected along a first fold line to the first section and along a second fold line to the third section, with the free edge, end edge, first fold line and second fold line all being mutually parallel.
Abstract: A portable lathe device is modular in character and can be employed for flange facing, line boring or other purposes. The spindle carrying the tool means is readily axially adjustable, and the radial feed rate for a facing head tool carrier is infinitely variable and reversable.
