  • Patent number: 10549286
Abstract: Apparatus for reducing a particle size of a precursor powder material by fluid energy impact according to one embodiment of the invention may include a housing defining an interior milling cavity therein having a peripheral wall. A powder feed inlet operatively associated with the housing introduces the precursor powder material into the interior milling cavity. A feed gas inlet operatively associated with the powder feed inlet introduces a feed gas into the interior milling cavity. A product discharge outlet operatively associated with the housing removes a milled powder product from the interior milling cavity. An oil injection nozzle assembly operatively associated with the product discharge outlet injects oil into a particle-laden product stream from the product discharge outlet.

  • Patent number: 9597631
Abstract: Apparatus for removing ammonia from a gas stream includes primary and secondary scrubbers each of which includes a gas inlet, a gas outlet, and a slurry atomizer. The gas inlet of the primary scrubber is operatively connected to a gas stream having ammonia contained therein. A primary slurry feed system operatively connected to the slurry atomizer of the primary scrubber feeds to the slurry atomizer a primary slurry composition of a molybdic acid at a pH level. The gas inlet of the secondary scrubber is operatively connected to the gas outlet of the primary scrubber. A secondary slurry feed system operatively connected to a slurry atomizer of the secondary scrubber feeds to the slurry atomizer a secondary slurry composition of a molybdic acid at pH level. The pH level of the secondary slurry composition is lower than the pH level of the primary slurry composition.

  • Patent number: 8808661
Abstract: A molybdenum disulfide powder product produced by jet milling a molybdenum disulfide precursor material and substantially continuously combining newly sized-reduced particles with oil to produce said molybdenum disulfide powder product, said molybdenum disulfide powder product having a D50 particle size of less than 4 ?m and an acid number that is less than about 0.5 mg KOH/g. A method for producing powder product includes the steps of: Providing a supply of a precursor powder material; accelerating particles of the precursor powder material by combining them with a flow of gas; confining the accelerated particles in a milling chamber so that they collide with one another to effect a size reduction; and coating newly exposed surfaces of size-reduced particles with oil.

  • Publication number: 20110094079
Abstract: A method for disconnecting a snap clip lug. The method includes supplying a snap clip lug that is formed by a clasp member and a receptacle member. The clasp member has a resilient arm connected to a locking tab and the receptacle member has a sleeve that has a locking slot at one end. The resilient arm fits into the sleeve such that the locking tab engages the locking slot thereby retaining the resilient arm in the sleeve. The resilient arm is flexed in a lateral direction and the locking slot is disengaged from the locking slot. The clasp member is separated from the receptacle member, thereby disconnecting the snap clip lug.

  • Publication number: 20090072546
Abstract: A quick disconnect swivel formed of a body, an arm, and a biasing member. The body includes a shaft, which extends generally outwardly from the body along a pivot axis. The arm includes a post, which extends generally outwardly from the arm, the arm defining an opening therein sized to receive the shaft so that the arm can be pivoted with respect to the body about the pivot axis between an opened position and a closed position, and the post and the body forming a lug when the arm is in the closed position. The bias member is operatively associated with the body and the arm and applies an axial force to the body and the arm. The body and the arm cooperatively engage one another to convert the axial force into a rotational force, the rotational force biasing the arm toward the closed position.
