Patents Assigned to Clouth Gummiwerke AG
  • Patent number: 5517894
Abstract: The invention relates to an explosion-proof mat for protecting structures that enclose occupant accommodations in vehicles. The mat has several layers of textile impact-resistant sheet saturated with impregnating material and conforming to the shape of the accommodation-enclosing structure. The impregnating material is flexible after curing. A rigid sheet of composite is embedded between two inner layers of the textile sheets.

  • Patent number: 5255484
Abstract: In a method for fastening of elastomeric or insulating materials, for instance an elastic mat, provided between two structural components whereby one of the structural components is produced on site after the elastomeric or insulating material has been inserted, the upper shank of a Z-shaped elastomer section consisting of two vertical shanks and a horizontal web is fastened by nails or the like to an already finished structural component, while the lower shank of the elastomer section reaches over the elastomeric or insulating material and then a cover element is fitted over the head of each nail or the like and after that an elastic cord is fitted onto the elastomer section. Finally, the second structural component is produced, whereby the elastomeric or insulating materials, the elastomer section, the cover element and the elastic cord serve as a disposable form.

  • Patent number: 4029296
Abstract: A diaphragm valve arrangement includes a pair of clamping members which have respective juxtaposed surfaces which define with one another a gap and which also bound an interior space. One of the juxtaposed surfaces has a projecting portion which extends across the gap towards the other of the juxtaposed surfaces. The arrangement also includes a diaphragm which has a center portion spanning the interior space and an outer clamped portion which is located in the gap and which is in part provided with a region of lesser thickness as compared with the thickness of the center portion of the diaphragm. The projecting portion is lodged in the recess formed in the region of lesser thickness.

  • Patent number: 3973670
Abstract: A conveyor belt with continuous longitudinal reinforcement strands has a mechanical transverse barrier to prevent longitudinal ripping slitting or tearing. The mechanical transverse barrier is a fabric with warp and weft threads embedded in a cover layer of the conveyor belt. The longitudinally running threads have a substantially lower tensile strength than the transversely running threads, i.e. the tensile strength of the transverse threads is at least 8 times that of the longitudinal threads and preferably upwards of 20 (e.g. 30 to 50) times that of the longitudinal threads.
