Patents Assigned to Collins International Co. Ltd.
  • Patent number: 6948786
Abstract: A furniture article suited for shipment in a compact carton has a top, a back hinged from the rear edge of the top, opposing side panels hinged from the back, and means for holding the opposing side panels in position, such as a stretcher bar, or a shelf hinged from the back to fold down and engage the side panels. A table particularly useful for computer use has a middle panel, a fold down shelf hinged from the middle panel, and drawers. When a wedge and pocket fastener is used in combination with the factory attachment of hinges, the articles can be assembled by a consumer at the point of use, without the use of tools or screws or bolts.

  • Patent number: 6652927
Abstract: A simulated Christmas tree is comprised of an array, or net, of interconnected light strings, tie wires and semi-rigid hoops. Spaced apart segments of light strings run downwardly from a hub which is at the top of a center pole that extends from a base. The light string segments are fastened to the horizontal hoops; and tie wires run horizontally between the segments, at elevations intermediate the hoops and intermediate the uppermost hoop and the hub which is at the top of the tree. The hoops create the conical shape. They are adapted to nest within one another, with clearance for the wires, and enable a knock down design. A detachable illuminated decoration is mounted on the hub at the pinnacle of the tree. The string light segments and bulbs in the star are electrically connected to blink, and to thus produce a twinkling tree effect.

  • Patent number: 6070941
Abstract: A knock down chair is comprised of a seat, a back rest, and a leg assembly. The back rest has a hoop, the tapered ends of which are drawn by bolts into spaced apart holes running through the seat. The back rest has spindles or other members running downwardly to a base plate which is removably attached to the top surface of the seat. The base plate is offset toward the rear of the seat from the plane in which the hoop ends lie. The leg assembly is comprised of two opposing leg frames which are screwed to the bottom of the seat. Rungs of the leg frames are joined by a stretcher rail which is held in place by bolts acting similarly to the bolts of the hoop ends.

  • Patent number: 5403162
Abstract: Two oscillating air fan assemblies are attached to arms which are slidable around and along a three piece screwed-together pole. Each fan is adjustable in multiple ways, and can be locked in place for efficiently cooling humans and things. The apparatus is readily disassemblable, for efficient shipping. Each molded plastic arm has holes and a hollow interior with a post through which runs the wire connecting the fan assemblies, so it is adequately secured.
