Abstract: Systems and methods for loading and delivering stalk subassemblies and yarn packages are disclosed herein. Such systems and methods can have at least one processor, at least one automated guided vehicle, at least one creel assembly, and an automated creel loading assembly. The at least one automated guided vehicle can be communicatively coupled to the at least one processor. The at least one processor can be configured to selectively direct an automated guided vehicle to engage a respective stalk subassembly. Upon engagement between the automated guided vehicle and the stalk subassembly, the processor can be configured to selectively direct the automated guided vehicle to move about and between the selected operative position within the creel assembly and a loading position proximate the automated creel loading assembly.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are writable, dry erasable two-part paint compositions that have an epoxy resin part and an aminosilane part, as well as a fluoro surfactant and a Gemini surfactant. The paint compositions have an amino to epoxy equivalent weight ratio from about 0.30 to about 0.65. Dry films formed from these paint compositions have relatively short dry time and markings on the dry films can be dry erased up to 33 days and beyond.

Abstract: A tufted article having a backing material and a plurality of tufts. The plurality of tufts can include cut tufts having first and second tuft portions projecting from a face surface of the backing material. The first and second tuft portions of each cut tuft have respective pile heights relative to the backing material. Each cut tuft also has a backstitch that joins the first and second tuft portions and extends across a portion of a back surface of the backing material. The plurality of tufts includes a plurality of asymmetric cut tufts that have first and second tuft portions with unequal pile heights. Systems and methods for making tufted articles having asymmetric cut tufts are also disclosed.

The outer wythe is formed from successive courses of masonry units with a mortar-filled bed joint between each two adjacent courses. The anchor comprises an engagement portion configured for disposition in the bed joint and an attachment portion coupled to the engagement portion. The attachment portion is configured to be secured to the inner wythe. The attachment portion defines an elongate slot. A bushing defines an opening sized and shaped to receive a fastener to attach the attachment portion to the inner wythe. The bushing is movably attached to the attachment portion to permit movement of the bushing and attachment portion relative to one another. This permits the engagement portion to move relative to the outer wythe to position the engagement portion in the bed joint when the fastener secures the attachment portion to the inner wythe.

Abstract: In an aspect, provided are methods and systems for performing a series of acoustic tests in a variety of testing environments comprising several types of construction assemblies. Prior to performing each acoustic test, a plurality of audio parameters corresponding to a given construction assembly can be used to configure an electronic device that captures audio produced by the acoustic test with a microphone and stores the captured audio as a computer sound file. Further, an acoustic testing device can be used during the acoustic test to gather data indicative of a result of the acoustic test. The result can then be mapped, along with information related to the given construction assembly, to the computer sound file.

Abstract: The present invention is related to a water-resistant shoe and a method of making the water-resistant shoe. In most embodiments the shoe comprises an outsole, an insole, an upper, and a bootie product comprised of a bootie, a bootie liner, a strobel and a gasket. In many embodiments water-resistant materials such as tape or glue are used to cover all seams and joints. In some embodiments the different pieces are tested for water-resistance before combining and in others the final shoe is tested for water-resistance. The present shoe and method provide a comfortable yet water-resistant shoe.

Abstract: A cooking appliance has a base with an upstanding wall defining a hollow interior with an opening. The base is configured to support a cooking grate adjacent to the opening. A lid is configured to be removably attached to the base and allow access to the cooking grate. An electrical cooking element is spaced from the grate and positioned in the hollow interior. A passage is formed in the upstanding wall and has a closure moveable between a closed position and an open position. In the open position, the passage receives and supports the cooking element in the hollow interior of the base to enable cooking with electricity via the cooking element. In the closed position, the closure of the passage at least partially blocks access through the passage into the hollow interior to enable cooking with a combustible solid material deposited in the base without the cooking element.
