  • Patent number: 4620224
Abstract: A method for scrambling a television signal for use with a multiplexed analog component (MAC) format employs a three digital bit code for each horizontal line of the picture. The bits identify the position of the luminance and chrominance information of the signal for every line of the television picture and whether the information is to be scanned from left to right or right to left.

  • Patent number: 4324845
Abstract: A rechargable metal oxide-hydrogen cell having an electrode stack within a pressure vessel. The electrode stack is aligned on a control alignment member and has separate positive and negative bars coupling respective positive and negative electrodes to like terminals. A variable conductance heat pipe includes a portion of the alignment member and couples the interior of the electrode stack to a radiator. The heat pipe uses a working fluid such as Freon 21.

  • Patent number: 4160288
Abstract: A regulated DC to DC power supply which minimizes input bus current changes caused by low frequency cyclical load variations is disclosed. The power supply includes a regulator connected to the input bus and controlled by a pulse width modulator. The regulator converts the DC voltage on the input bus to a higher, regulated DC voltage which is supplied to a variable load. A voltage feedback circuit is connected to the output of the boost converter and generates a control voltage which is supplied to the pulse width modulator to regulate the output voltage for variations in line voltage and load. The voltage feedback circuit includes an operational amplifier having a reference voltage supplied to a positive input terminal, and the output of the regulator supplied to a negative input terminal. A frequency response shaping network is connected between the output and the negative input terminal of the operational amplifier.

  • Patent number: 4104597
Abstract: A variable sensitivity monitor circuit changes sensitivity for a period immediately following startup or turnon of the process or equipment being monitored. By changing sensitivity, the monitor circuit will not respond to the transient produced at startup or turnon but will respond to any abnormal condition greater than the transient without any decrease in response time of the monitor circuit.
