Abstract: In a pressure device for a printer comprising a support element which can be fixed to a frame of the printer and a flexible plate fixed to the support element in order to press a printing substrate against a platen in the vicinity of a printing line, the support element includes a turned-over portion bent onto a remaining portion of the support element in order to restrain a portion of the flexible plate.

Abstract: In an electrophotographic printing device, a charging roller for a photoconductive drum is constituted by an outer, resilient and resistive layer and by a conductive core connected to earth by means of an element with adjustable resistance. The charging roller is rotated and at the same time its outer layer is charged, by an auxiliary conductive roller which is in contact with the charging roller along a generatrix, with a specific surface charge which is discharged gradually through the resistive layer and the adjustable resistor according to a law determined by the value of the adjustable resistor so that the residual charge transferred by the charging roller to the drum can be controlled simply, reliably and repetitively, so as to adopt an optimal value.

Abstract: In a printer with a multiple continuous-sheet processing capability, a first pusher tractor unit and a second pusher tractor unit disposed above the first feed continuous sheets from the front of the printer to a printing line along substantially straight paths and both are accessible from the front of the printer for the loading of continuous sheets into the tractors, the second simply by the opening of an anti-noise cover and the first by the tilting of the second unit about a pivot axis on the opposite side of the paths to the second unit in the position above the first.
