    Abstract: A method of delivering a water-based room air freshener is disclosed that provides a hand held pump sprayer to deliver a minute amount of atomized particles into the room atmosphere for immediate detection by the olfactory senses. The water-based disprsions include about 88% to about 99% by weight water, about 0.1% to about 5% by weight fragrance oil, about 0.1% to about 5% by weight surfactant, and about 0.1% to about 2% by weight preservative, with the dispersions preserved against microbial attack and free from volatile propellants.
