    Abstract: The present invention relates to an elastic wheel for railway vehicles, formed by a tread (1) and a wheel center (2), defining a housing for the insertion of an elastomer that is compressed by a retaining ring (3) which is attached to the wheel center (2) by means of attachment screws (4), and in which the elastomer is formed by a plurality of V-shaped elastic blocks (5), having two oblique walls belonging to the wheel center (2) and to the retaining ring (3), respectively, forming an angle of between 48° and 52° with respect to the axis (R) of the wheel, and in which the oblique walls end in respective inclined sections on which the vertices of the V-shaped elastic blocks (5) are supported, said inclined sections forming an angle of between 2° and 10° with respect to the axis (R) of the wheel.

    Abstract: A noise damping system for a railroad wheel: at one axial side of the wheel a groove is formed having radially inward and radially outward sides. A ring is installed in the groove. When one set of opposing sides, e.g. the radially outward sides, is engaged, they transmit torque. The ring and the groove are cooperatingly either trapezial in shape, that is one radial side inclined and one axial direction side, or are shaped with both radial sides uninclined. Screws secure the ring into the wheel and establish a torque transmitting connection between their opposing engaged sides. The ring may be in sections fastened together at the wheel to form the complete ring.

    Abstract: The position detector system for guided vehicles has a memory block which stores each journey, divided into sections identified by their theoretical parameters and in which the correction curves are stored; at least one recording unit sensitive to travel in a curve and a relative position recording unit, signals from which are sent to a control unit which using the signals, establishes the profile of variations of the actual parameters of the correction curves and carried out an adjustment based upon achievement of the minimum error in the profiles of coordinates obtained from the theoretical parameters and the actual parameters, determining the absolute real position of the vehicle. The system is especially suited for the railway rolling stock industry.

    Abstract: Tilting system for railway vehicle, having a memory unit with the parameters of the sections of the route, a position detector system which continually communicates the parameters of speed and actual absolute position of the vehicle to an intelligent control unit in which a set of standard commands has been established, quantified using the values of the parameters which are received from the memory unit and the position detector system, establishing a set of standard instructions which are sent to tilting actuators placed between the bogie chassis and the frame of the vehicle.
