    Abstract: An appartus for stabilizing the position of a unitary camera means relative to the body of a cameraman including a camera carrying assembly providing for movement of the camera about panning, tilting, and roll axes, a fulcrum mounted support member for the camera carrying assembly adapted to position the carrying assembly in spaced relation to the body of a cameraman, a body mount for the support member for counterbalancing and transferring the weight of the camera carrying assembly to the body of the cameraman at the lower body or hip region of the cameraman, and a tensioned cable carried by the body mount and support member and connected to the camera carrying assembly for suspending the assembly and for providing relative vertical movement of the camera carrying assembly relative to the support member and cameraman.
