  • Patent number: 7562477
Abstract: A self-standing floor sign including two support panels and a plurality of movable panels. The support panels each have a proximal and a distal end and are pivotally coupled to each other via their proximal ends to allow relative movement of the panels between a closed and an open position. When closed, the support panels are generally parallel to each other, whereas when open, the distal ends are spaced apart and allow the sign to stand on the floor. Each of the movable panels has a proximal and a distal end and a portion therebetween having two surfaces. Each movable panel is rotatable between a first position where the movable panel is supported by one of the support panels with one of its surfaces being visible, and a second position where the movable panel is supported by the other support panel and its other surface is visible.

  • Patent number: 7530578
Abstract: A novel construction of a stabilized receptacle is provided in which the receptacle is comprised of only seven separate component parts that are assembled together without the use of separate threaded fasteners. In addition, the receptacle is provided with a stabilizing hoop that extends forwardly from the receptacle around the foot pedal of the receptacle and stabilizes the receptacle, preventing movement of the receptacle when the foot pedal is depressed.

  • Patent number: 6863477
Abstract: A method and material for preventing erosion and maintaining playability of golf course sand bunkers. A geotextile liner is formed of two water-permeable layers. A first non-woven layer of randomly-aligned, synthetic fibers is configured and adapted to maintain sand in place within a sand bunker. A second backing layer formed of spunbond synthetic fiber is impervious to sand and configured and adapted to prevent downward migration of sand through the liner, while also preventing the upward migration of weeds, rocks and other contaminants that hinder the playability of the sand bunker. The backing layer also permits seams between adjacent sections of the liner to be joined by staples that penetrate the second layer but do not penetrate the native soil. Sections of the liner are laid within an unfilled sand bunker, and cut to fit the contours of the bunker as necessary.

  • Patent number: 6666153
Abstract: A shelving unit comprises a shelf and a shelf anchor for securing the shelf to an adjacent wall. The shelf has a peripheral rim that extends along at least a portion of the length of the shelf. The shelf has at least one internal lateral support member extending generally perpendicularly to the rim. The shelf anchor includes a base and a shelf-retainer. The base is adapted to be mounted to the wall. The shelf-retainer extends from the base. A retaining portion of the shelf-retainer is spaced from a front side of the base to define a rim-receiving recess between the base and the retaining portion of the shelf-retainer. The shelf anchor is positioned relative to the shelf so that at least a portion of the peripheral rim is received within the rim-receiving recess in a manner to prevent the shelf from moving outwardly from the wall when the shelf anchor is mounted to the wall. The shelf-retainer includes a lateral positioner.
