Patent number: 6483025Abstract: The present invention relates to a cable tray for supporting conduit thereon. The tray includes an elongated spine section which includes first and second section channels which extend along opposing first and second surfaces thereof. The tray has a plurality of support member assemblies which have a plate end and a support end opposite the plate end. The plate end of the support member assembly engages the first and second section channels, and includes at least one fastening aperture. The support end extends away from the elongated spine section. The tray also has a plurality of fasteners for threadably engaging the at least one fastening aperture of said support member plate end. The fasteners secure the support member assemblies at a desired location along the first and second section channels whereby support member assemblies are slidably positioned at a desired location and fastened thereto to provide a custom arrangement of support member assemblies about the spine section.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2000Date of Patent: November 19, 2002Assignee: T.J. Patent number: 5030239Abstract: An improved biomechanical ankle is provided which imitates the three primary categories of movement in a human foot. Parallel sole and limb supporting plates are held in spaced relationship by an upright post. The limb supporting plate is connected to the post with a ball and socket joint. A helical spring is fixed between the plates to provide resilient support to the anterior portion of the foot in imitation of normal muscular control. The ball and socket joint, in cooperation with the spring, permits the biomechanical ankle to imitate the inversion-eversion, plantar flexion-dorsiflexion, and lateral rotation found in a normal human foot.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 1984Date of Patent: July 9, 1991Assignee: Copes, Inc.Inventor: Arthur Copes

Patent number: 4709888Abstract: Hanger apparatus comprises an elongated strap member adapted to be secured to a support structure, and load supports, such as cradles, coupled to the strap member. The strap member has a series of longitudinally spaced openings, and the load supports have thereon hooks and openings, and projections spaced from the hooks by distances corresponding to the spacing of the openings of the strap member. When operatively disposed, the hooks of the load supports extend through the openings in the strap member, and serve to urge the projections of the load supports into association with openings in the strap member, to create a secure and stable assembly.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 1985Date of Patent: December 1, 1987Assignee: T. Patent number: 4690382Abstract: A one-piece coving strip (10) of the type utilized along fences, rails, or the like, for preventing vegetation growth at the base thereof, comprises an upper fence-engaging portion (22) and a lower ground-engaging portion (24), joined together by curved connections (26,28). The invention is characterized by including attachment fingers (62) or slits (30,36) for directly attaching the upper portion (22) to a chain-link fence (16). The strip (10) covers an area of ground between the fence and the ground-engaging portion (24), preventing vegetation growth and the passage of objects thereunder, as well as the easier removal of litter from the fencing. Optionally, anchoring spikes (38) may be provided for anchoring the lower portion (24) to the ground.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 1985Date of Patent: September 1, 1987Assignee: Cope, Inc.Inventor: Edward A. Patent number: 4668292Abstract: A vehicle traction material comprises a water scavenging agent such as an oxide, and a parting agent such as a stearate or oleate for keeping the material noncaking and free flowing. A relatively dense abrasive agent in either powdery or granular form imparts weight when carried in the vehicle and friction when spread under the vehicle tires. A nonchloride water-soluble melting agent from the group of compounds including nitrates, phosphates, sulfates and glycols liquefies ice and snow. The material is stored and carried in the vehicle by one or more bags (10) having an outer reinforced material (18) that is temperature, puncture and wear resistant and an inner lining (20) that is corrosion resistant and moisture proof. The bag is reinforced by gussets (16) and has a receivable closure (14) and handles (12), as well as stacking ribs (22) to allow several bags (10) of various sizes to be conveniently refilled, handled and stacked in a vehicle compartment.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 1985Date of Patent: May 26, 1987Assignee: COPE, Inc.Inventor: Edward A.
