Abstract: A method of processing which can include receiving input signals from a plurality of sources, data mining the input signals, interpreting the mined data, optionally providing a set of settings and processing the input signals based on the interpretation of the mined data and, optionally, the set of settings to produce output signals. The input signals can be data mined to identify one or both of unique characteristics and attributes associable with the input signals. The mined data can be interpreted in a manner so as to form association based on one or both of the unique characteristics and attributes. The output signals can correspond to adaptably altered input signals which can be associated with adaptable alteration of one or both of visual perception and audio perception of the input signals.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system and a processing method in association with the system for customizing audio experience. Customization of audio experience can be based on derivation of at least one customized audio response characteristic which can be applied to an audio device used by a person. The customized audio response characteristic(s) can be unique to the person.

Abstract: A method is provided for generating a personalized Head Related Transfer Function (HRTF). The method can include capturing an image of an ear using a portable device, auto-scaling the captured image to determine physical geometries of the ear and obtaining a personalized HRTF based on the determined physical geometries of the ear. In addition, a system and a method in association with the system are also provided for customizing audio experience. Customization of audio experience can be based on derivation of at least one customized audio response characteristic which can be applied to an audio device used by a person. Finally, methods and systems are provided for rendering audio over headphones with head tracking enabled by, for example, exploiting efficiencies in creating databases and filters for use in filtering 3D audio sources for more realistic audio rendering and also allowing greater head movement to enhance the spatial audio perception.
Abstract: In embodiments of this invention howling sounds are removed without disturbing speech and music. Microphone signals are converted to the frequency domain where howling frequencies are detected and estimated using howling to noise ratios. A notch filter adaptively designed for the howling frequency is applied to remove the howling.

Abstract: There is provided a method for creating a stereoscopic image sequence. The method can include capturing a sequence of static images and forming a plurality of image pairs. Each image pair can include a first image and a second image selected from the sequence of static images. Selection of the first image can be done in a manner so that the image pairs are formed a spatially coherent manner. The stereoscopic image sequence can be created based on the image pairs. Creating the stereoscopic image sequence can, for example, relate to producing a stereoscopic video.

Abstract: There is provided an audio system which can include an apparatus (e.g., a soundbar) and a computer. The apparatus can include a plurality of speaker drivers. Additionally, the computer can be coupled to the apparatus. The computer can be configured to present a user interface and a suite of audio effects. The suite of audio effects and the user interface can be used for flexibly choreographing audio output (i.e., of a data file) from the apparatus.
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus which can include a plurality of speaker drivers and a control processor. The control processor can be configured to flexibly group the speaker drivers. The control processor can be further configured to perform the tasks of controlling directivity of audio output from at least one group and providing time delay to audio output from at least one speaker driver from at least one controlled group so as to generate at least one sound field associable with a dispersed profile.

Abstract: Embodiments of a virtual surround-sound system and methods for simulating surround-sound are generally described herein. Other embodiments may be described and claimed. In some embodiments, a processing module may include spatial processor spatially processes surround-left and surround-right channel signals and front-left and front-right channel signals and combines the spatially-processed signals for providing to drivers of center speaker after crosstalk cancellation and combining with a center-channel signal. In some embodiments, the processing module may include circuitry to cause the spatial processor to refrain from spatially processing either the front-left and front-right channel signals when front-left and/or front-right speakers are connected.
Abstract: A method, system and electronic device for efficient graphic processing and display of display data. The electronic device can be configured for processing source data corresponding to at least one digital image. The electronic device includes a processing portion which can be configured for receiving and processing source data in a manner so as to produce output signals associated with a portion of the at least one digital image. The portion of the at least one digital image can be associated with a region of interest. The output signals can be based upon for at least one of producing display data displayable as graphic image and salient based learning.

Abstract: There is provided an apparatus configured to control a plurality of light emitting elements so that the light emitting elements display a lighting behavior based on audio output which is based on an audio file. The apparatus can include a control portion and a choreography portion. The control portion is operable to generate an instruction sequence which can be used to control the lighting behavior of the light emitting elements, the instruction sequence can include a plurality of lighting instructions. The choreography portion is operable to associate at least one lighting instruction from the plurality of lighting instructions with at least one portion of the audio file.
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus configured to control a plurality of light emitting elements so that the light emitting elements display a lighting behavior. The apparatus includes a control portion operable to generate an instruction sequence. The instruction sequence controls the lighting behavior of the light emitting elements. The instruction sequence can include a plurality of lighting instructions. The control portion can include a first input portion and an option portion. The first input portion generates a first lighting instruction of the plurality of lighting instructions and the option portion can be operated by, for example, a user to present a second input portion for generating a second lighting instruction of the plurality of lighting instructions. The lighting behavior displayed by the light emitting elements can have a lighting sequence which is based on the instruction sequence where the first lighting instruction is followed by the second lighting instruction.
