Patents Assigned to Crosslink Polymer Research
  • Patent number: 7993495
Abstract: A method is provided for decontaminating a surface that is susceptible to contamination by a contaminant by applying to the surface a coating which produces a decontaminating agent for the contaminant in response to a signal, connecting the electroactive coating to a source of a signal, and when the surface is contaminated, applying the signal to the electroactive coating, thereby producing one or more decontaminating agents which neutralize or destroy the contaminant. Coatings for practicing the method and articles that have been protected by the novel coatings are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20060269744
Abstract: An Illuminated display integrated with a fabric substrate, comprising a rear electrode formed on a portion of a front surface of the fabric substrate, the rear electrode being formed on the fabric substrate portion by applying a catalyst to the fabric portion and subsequently immersing the fabric portion in an electroless plating bath followed by immersing the fabric portion in an electrode bath, a dielectric layer formed onto the fabric substrate surface substantially over the rear electrode, a light emitting layer formed onto the dielectric layer, a transparent conductive layer formed onto the light emitting layer; and a front electrode lead electrically connected to the transparent conductive layer to transport energy thereto.

  • Publication number: 20040035498
Abstract: Methods and compositions are described for protecting a metal surface against corrosion. The method involves applying to the metal surface a coating formulation that comprises a radiation curable resin and a corrosion-responsive agent that is capable of releasing a corrosion-inhibiting ion in response to exposure to ionic species characteristic of those present on a metal surface undergoing oxidative corrosion; and exposing the coating formulation to radiation whereby the radiation curable resin forms a corrosion-resisting coating having a low spontaneous release rate of the corrosion-responsive agent into the environment.

  • Publication number: 20040018382
Abstract: A luminescent device comprises an electroluminescent phosphor in operative contact with a light-emitting material wherein excitation of the electroluminescent phosphor by an alternating current electrical field causes the emission of light by the light-emitting material. Methods of making the device and using it in an electroluminescent display are also described.
