Patent number: 11358766Abstract: A system for automatic reordering of replenishment stock is described herein. The system generally comprises a storage bin defining a first compartment and a second compartment in proximity to the first compartment where the storage bin is configured to store a predetermined product. A cover assembly may normally restrict access to the second compartment. When the product is exhausted from the first compartment, opening the cover assembly to access the product in the second compartment may trigger a sensor in proximity to the second compartment. This triggering causes the sensor to wirelessly transmit a signal to a processor to reorder a quantity of the product.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2018Date of Patent: June 14, 2022Assignee: Cubex LLCInventors: Anton C. Visser, Thomas Andrew Werner

Patent number: 10679021Abstract: An inventory management system for managing multiple inventory items by multiple users is described and generally includes one or more button modules each having at least a first button and a second button and an NFC chip incorporated into the button module. Each NFC chip has a predetermined and unique module identification signal associated with the button module. The button module may further include a circuitry unit configured to receive a predetermined and unique mobile device identification signal from a mobile device for combination with the module identification signal from the NFC chip. The circuitry unit may receive a count signal indicative of an increase or decrease in inventory count corresponding to the first button or the second button being depressed upon the button module and combine the count signal with the mobile device identification signal and module identification signal for transmission to a remote server.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 2018Date of Patent: June 9, 2020Assignee: Cubex LLCInventors: John D. Higham, Anton Visser

Patent number: 10383438Abstract: Devices and methods for controlled dispensation are described herein where such an assembly may generally comprise an index plate having one or more protrusions extending from a surface of the plate, a first actuator configured to translate the plate in a first direction, and a second actuator configured to translate the plate in a second direction different from the first direction. The one or more protrusions may define one or more rows which are arranged upon the plate in a collinear arrangement and may further define one or more columns which are arranged upon the plate at an angle relative to a proximal or distal edge of the plate such that each protrusion is off-set relative to an adjacent protrusion along the column.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2015Date of Patent: August 20, 2019Assignee: Cubex LLCInventors: John A. Duval, Clifford D. Bennett, Dmitry Soyfertis

Patent number: 10280650Abstract: Devices and methods for controlling access are described herein where such an assembly may generally comprise an index plate defining one or more spaces over a surface of the plate and each of the one or more spaces having a corresponding protrusion extending within, a first actuator configured to translate the plate in a first direction, and a second actuator configured to translate the plate in a second direction different from the first direction. The one or more lever arms may correspondingly extend from a locking mechanism and the one or more spaces, wherein selective engagement of a single lever arm by a corresponding single protrusion actuates the single lever arm from a locked configuration to an unlocked configuration.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 2015Date of Patent: May 7, 2019Assignee: Cubex LLCInventor: John A. Publication number: 20180121866Abstract: Inventory management systems using individual modules are described where the system utilizes one or more wireless-connected button modules in which one button module may be located at each item shelf location. The button module is able to transmit and receive wireless signals to and from a central console. Each button module may have at least two buttons, one for removing stock, one for adding. For selected, authorized users, the mode of operation of the button module may be changed in order to perform other functions. The button module may also include either a small alphanumeric display or a bitmap display allowing alphanumeric text of any size and the ability to also display status icons where appropriate. Each button module may also have an LED alert light, a piezo beeper, and the ability to interact with a user via an NFC or RFID chip.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2016Publication date: May 3, 2018Applicant: Cubex LLCInventors: John D.
