    Abstract: Systems and methods for increasing the efficiency of inverters are provided. In some embodiments, an inverter may be configured to connect to a direct current power source and output alternating current power. The inverter may include one or more transistors configured to receive a direct current signal and output a pulse width modulated signal having a particular switching frequency or spread spectrum frequencies. The inverter also includes a low pass filter having multiple elements where each of the multiple elements have parasitic characteristics. One or more of the multiple elements may be designed such that the frequency response has a notch or a minimum at the switching frequency while having a desired cutoff frequency.
