Abstract: A drainage bag system for urinary collection includes a urinary drainage bag having a first inlet and an inlet valve for regulating a flow of urine from a catheter into the urinary drainage bag via the first inlet, an outlet, and an outlet valve for regulating a flow of urine out of the urinary drainage bag. The drainage bag system further includes a receptacle bag of a foil or sheet material for emptying the urinary drainage bag and having a receptacle compartment for storing urine and a connector for providing a connection between the receptacle bag and the urinary drainage bag. The connector provides a second inlet constituting a receptacle inlet to the receptacle compartment when connected to the receptacle bag such that urine can flow into the receptacle compartment.
