Abstract: A ventilation ring for a UV water sanitizer unit that allows for adequate ventilation of heat generated by electronic components while sequestering those electronic components from water. The ring can also be made of a transparent or translucent material to allow a user to detect whether a UV lamp within the housing is operating. An improved nut for affixing a quartz tube within such a unit and improved design for draining the unit are also disclosed.
Abstract: A power supply board of the present disclosure substantially mitigates the risk of a reverse-wired lead and switch hot from the power source to the power supply board in a hazardous water-based scenario. In one exemplary embodiment, the present disclosure provides a power supply board (and a final, resulting LED controller) configured to be structurally adapted to control the load via a microcontroller and a high-power consumption switch, and to turn on and off the 120V AC power source with any duty cycle, wherein the timing at which the switch is activated is controlled to occur during a period of low voltage pressure on the negative side of the AC input voltage sine wave. All this without compromising the competing functions of the power supply board and/or the resulting LED controller.

The light source chamber having a transparent, semi-transparent, or translucent divider to shine light towards and across the waterfall slot/primary opening via a spreading manifold/area/passage that is configured to spread the flowing water, and direct the water as a fluid wave guide towards the waterfall slot/primary outlet.

Abstract: An installation tool for installing features and/or components involving a grommet onto a water containing structure assembly, and a method of use thereof, which facilitates controlled and precise application of an insertion force. The tool actively prevents or reduces the unintentional application of the insertion force onto anything surrounding the grommet. The tool, and a method of use thereof, may have an insertion force generating sub-system configured to mechanically drive a grommet-based component into the grommet, and an engagement sub-system configured to translate and impart the insertion force from the insertion force generating sub-system to the grommet-based component and the grommet. The tool may have a sturdy, stable, and slide-hammer configuration or a basic tamp configuration for use with a mallet. The slide-hammer may comprise an anvil sub-system and a hammer sub-system in a reciprocating configuration. A complimentary puller tool may be included.
