Patents Assigned to Custom Products of Litchfield, Inc.
  • Patent number: 8523225
Abstract: Overhead frame structures for a vehicle that are adjustable for modifying the overall height of the vehicles yet meet an industry-recognized standard of rollover protection for the operator of the vehicle regardless of such adjustment to the structure. In some cases, the structures are incorporated with brackets at their adjustable connection areas. The brackets have separate members for one or more of aligning and supporting adjustable members of the structure.

  • Patent number: 8016320
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to providing a vibration dampening system for an overhead frame structure used with a vehicle. The system involves the provision of one or more dampening members and/or components between portions of one or more members forming the overhead frame structure. The dampening members or components are compressed when certain portions of the members are set in position. As a result, the vibration and contact normally encountered between the portions and/or interconnecting brackets is limited, and in turn, the stress normally experienced by the one or more fastener assemblies holding the portions and/or the interconnecting brackets due to such vibration is also limited.

  • Patent number: 4854628
Abstract: A carrying rack mountable on a vehicle, such as a pickup, for carrying bulky and oversized objects. The rack is characterized by including a frame mountable to the bed of the vehicle and including a forward rack member. The frame also includes a pair of support members extending rearwardly of the front rack member, these support members including a pivotal connection carrying a rear rack section. The rear rack section is movable between a forward, folded position and a rearward, extended position for carrying large objects thereupon. The foldable nature of the rack permits easier access into the bed of the truck when the rack is not in use, while providing an aesthestically pleasing configuration, such as that of a roll bar. Optional winch means, lighting, and reflectors may also be incorporated in the unit.
