  • Publication number: 20210401318
Abstract: Methods of determining an index of vessel and heart function are disclosed. The methods determine the maximum volume and rate of change of volume so that an efficiency of the heart can be determined. Conductance readings indicative of the heart can be taken from a variety of locations such as the lumen of a vessel, the lumen of a heart, the pericardial space, and the epicardial surface. Said conductance readings are then used to determine the efficiency of the heart.

  • Patent number: 11109772
Abstract: Devices and methods are disclosed which relate to the detection of cardiovascular efficiency and risk of disease. The rate of volumetric change of the heart can be determined by measuring the parallel conductance across electrodes attached to the heart. Measurements from a lumen would consider the total conductance. The rate of volumetric or lumen cross-section area change can then be compared to an average model to determine the health of a patient.
