Abstract: Apparatus for strapping articles, wherein the band channel (28) of the band guiding frame (13) is covered by profile strips, which consist of an elastic material, preferably an elastically curing polyurethane elastomer casting mass, into which are embedded wear and/or sliding elements in the form of metal helical spring elements (34), the helical spring axes of which run essentially parallel to the band channel (28), and the coils of which project a little bit from the elastic material into the interior (28) of the band channel and form curved sliding surfaces (35) running essentially transversely to the band channel, so that the strapping band essentially only comes into contact with the metallic sliding surfaces of the spring elements during the exit from the band channel, and thereby does not damage the elastic material of the profile strips.

Abstract: The device tensions and closes strapping bands for packaging and suchlike. It has a band channel open longitudinally on one side in the longitudinal direction of the strapping band, a band tensioning device acting in the area of the band channel and a closing device which joins the band ends lying on top of each other in a tensioned state in the band channel. In order to ensure that correct tensioning rate, band tension, welding time, holding time and/or other band closing parameters in each case, the device is provided with a sensor device recording the width of the strapping band and a processing and adjusting unit interacting therewith, with which the band closing parameters are automatically adjusted as a function of the band width.

Abstract: Disclosed is a device for tensioning and sealing tightening straps of plastics for package tightenings, in which the superposed strap ends are received in a strap channel which is essentially open at a longitudinal outer side and the two faces. The strap channel has a strap edge guide at its longitudinal inner side for the inner edges of the tightening strap. A tensioning device is arranged in the front region of the device, and a sealing device is arranged in the rear region. So as to compensate for the forces acting outwardly on the upper strap end due to the irregular deformations of the upper strap end during the tensioning process by the tensioning roller of the tensioning device which is mounted in a floating manner, the strap edge guide is arranged obliquely to the tensioning direction of the tensioning roller and projects further into the strap channel in the vicinity of the strap sealing device than in the region of the tensioning device.

Abstract: A packaging machine for wrapping packing pieces with packing film. The packing machine includes a transport device for the packing pieces arranged in a transport channel, at least one pulling device for the packing film and a film cutting and welding device which, when operated, pulls one film section from the pulling device and welds it to another film section for forming a film tube surrounding the packing piece. The packing machine is design to prevent a run-up of the film pulled by the pulling device into the transport channel by the inclusion of a narrow through gap for the packing film. The gap limits the passage of the film when the tension on the film is reduced.

Abstract: The device according to the invention for tensioning and sealing of strapping bands has a band abutment (24) for the inner band edges (27) of the band ends (20, 21) to be welded together, which is provided with a band width adjustment device (28) according to the invention, with the help of which the band abutment adjusts the band abutment transversely to the longitudinal direction of the strapping band in the housing and that the device can be adjusted to strapping having with different widths without any reconstruction measures (see FIG. 3).

Abstract: The invention relates to a tensioning device for tightening strapping bands. When a tensioning motor runs forwards in the tensioning direction, a tensioning wheel is automatically pivoted against an abutment in the opposite direction. Once the tensioning process is complete, said tensioning wheel is pivoted back out of the tensioning position and into the starting position by running the tensioning motor backwards.

Abstract: An apparatus for tensioning and closing of a tightening strap for package tightenings. The apparatus comprising a closing device for connecting two ends of the strap and a tensioning device having a tensioning wheel that can be driven, a pressure plate which can be moved against the tensioning wheel or lifted from the tensioning wheel, and a self-adjusting separating element which is arranged between the tensioning wheel and the pressure plate, whereby one end of the strap is taken up between said tensioning wheel and the separating element, and the other end of the strap is taken up between the separating element and said pressure plate, the apparatus further including an unblocking element which displaces the separating element during the lifting of the pressure plate from the tensioning wheel. The displacement being approximately parallel to the two ends of the strap.

Abstract: A process and an apparatus for welding straps of thermoplastic plastics, wherein the supply of heat which is necessary for welding is controlled depending on the thickness at the weld of the straps which are to be welded to each other and is not switched off until said thickness falls below a predetermined set value.

Abstract: A device for tensioning and securing the ends of packing straps which are pressed by a pressure plate against a tensioning wheel. The pressure plate is designed to be lifted off of the tension wheel by the operating lever thereby allowing rotation of the tensioning wheel via an actuator element, thus enabling insertion of the strap ends into the tensioning device. This arrangement makes a special release lever unnecessary.
