    Abstract: Provided are a method for detecting a pattern of an over-sampling image and an optical information processing apparatus and method using the same. A method for detecting a pattern from an image of an over-sampled datapage includes: over-sampling the datapage to detect a detection image of the datapage; comparing the detection image and a reference image of over-sampling for the pattern by a covariance; and calculating a pixel of the pattern over-sampled by values of the reference image and the detection image compared by the covariance. Accordingly, data with a specific pattern such as a mark can be detected from an image of an over-sampled datapage, thereby making it possible to increase the data reproduction accuracy, thus making it possible to greatly increase the reliability of reproduced optical data.

    Abstract: A refrigerator having an apparatus for thawing frozen food includes food case mounted on the lower side of a partition for partitioning cooling compartments from each other, and a heater and a blowing device installed in the partition. The operating time of the heater and the blowing fan is counted in a timer. A user accommodates frozen food in the food case and sets a time for thawing by the timer. Then the frozen food is thawed by the operation of the heater and the blowing device. Thus, the frozen food can be thawed conveniently and rapidly.

    Abstract: A disc clamping apparatus for a compact disc player. The apparatus has a clamp for clamping a disc loaded on a turntable, an elastic wire for upwardly lifting the clamp and for horizontally maintaining the clamp above the turntable, a pair of extension bars connected to a spring to downwardly bias the elastic wire, and a serpentine bar which makes contact with an upper surface of the clamp to allow the clamp to stably rotate. The apparatus does not make contact with the disc while the disc is being inserted/ejected into/from the disc player, so damage to the disc or to the clamp can be prevented. Since the clamp is horizontally maintained above the turntable by the elastic wire, the clamp does not fluctuate while a user is driving the vehicle, so the clamp is prevented from colliding with a cover plate, thereby reducing the noise.

    Abstract: A method in a projector in which in order to project a clear picture onto a screen without the occurrence of the keystoning, an asymmetrical picture is pre-compensated, is disclosed. In the method for pre-compensating an asymmetrical picture in a projector, when the projection lens of the projector is arranged at an upward or a downward projection angle, regardless of the projection angle, a trapezoidal error of the picture projected onto the screen is pre-compensated in response to the projection angle setting signal from the projection angle setting section, so the picture is normally projected onto the screen. Then, in adjacent compensation blocks of the asymmetrical picture, the position coordinates of deleted pixels are differently determined by a predetermined position transformation function, and thereby the original picture is reproduced with high-fidelity.

    Abstract: A refrigerator and a method for circulating cold air in the refrigerator are provided for blocking the backward stream of cold air within a freezing chamber and a main cold air duct into a cold chamber regardless of occurrence of a pressure difference caused by different supply amount of the cold air to the freezing chamber and cold chamber, thereby preventing freezing of food within the cold chamber. For this, an evaporator produces the cold air supplied to the freezing chamber, and a fan apparatus draws in the cold air within the freezing chamber. Ducts allowing for the flow of the cold air includes the main cold air duct which leads the cold air admitted from the fan apparatus to return to the freezing chamber via the evaporator, a cooling duct branched from the main cold air duct to supply the cold air to the cold chamber and a cold air return duct for leading the cold air within the cold chamber to return to the evaporator.
