    Abstract: A temperature detecting device (101) includes: a detecting unit (11) which detects a temperature of a heat source (1); a power generation unit (12) which includes a thermoelectric conversion element (3) and is spaced from the detecting unit (11); a first heat transfer unit (41) that transfers heat or cold of the heat source (1) to the power generation unit (12); a radiator (13) which is remote from the power generation unit (12) so as to radiate heat or cold to outside; a second heat transfer unit (42) that receives heat or cold from the power generation unit (12) and that transfers the heat or cold to the radiating unit (13); and an output unit (14) that outputs a result of the measurement made by the temperature receiving element (2). The thermoelectric conversion element (3) generates electric power by way of a temperature difference between a surface (3a) and a surface (3b) and supplies electric power to the temperature receiving element (2) and the output unit (14).

    Abstract: A fluid apparatus includes a pneumatic cylinder having a main body, a piston, and a hollow rod. A ball screw shaft engaged with a ball nut fixed to the piston is rotatably and axially unmovably mounted in the cylinder and extends in the hollow rod. A magnetic brake for braking the ball screw shaft is fixed to an end portion of the main body of the cylinder. The number of revolutions of the ball screw shaft is detected and outputted in a signal form by a rotary encoder. A primary solenoid controlled valve reciprocates the piston by connecting a pressure source either to a first or second port of the cyliner, and secondary solenoid controlled valves connect a pressure source either to a first braking pressure port or to a second braking pressure port.

    Abstract: A ring-shaped coupling comprising an inner ring, a rubber ring whose outer circumferential surface is divided by a circular groove into two conical surfaces each flaring toward the center in the axial directions and whose inner circumferential surface forming one solid surface is made to adhere by vulcanization to the outer circumferential surface of the inner ring, a pair of outer rings which are placed facing each other in the axial direction and a joining number. One of the inner circumferential surfaces of the outer rings having the shape of a conical surface flaring toward the other, and to the inner circumferential surfaces adhering by vulcanization the two conical sections of the outer circumferential surface of the rubber ring. The joining member puts the outer rings close to each other in the axial direction and fixes them in place in such a manner as to compress the rubber ring under the outer rings.

    Abstract: A temperature actuated keying device for use in an automatic door closing mechanism which comprises a pair of thin, long plates for clamping members pivotally connected to each other at overlapping ends thereof by a pin so that both plates can be opened or closed in the same plane relative to the pin as in scissors, a washer portion and a spring provided between the clamping members and a fuse plate consisting of a pair of component plates connected by a fusible material to each other to form the fuse plate which is removably mounted between the other ends of the clamping members. The keying device is attached to a door closing mechanism to hold the door open in normal condition, and to release the door to close in case of emergency when the fusible material melts to separate the fuse plate, thereby opening the keying device.
