    Abstract: An inorganic constructional board for use as wall backing material or the like comprises a middle layer portion (1a) formed mainly of inorganic foamed material with an adequate quantity of fibrous material and binder added thereto, and outer layer portions (1b) placed on both surfaces of the middle layer portion (1a), the outer layer portion being formed mainly of mineral fiber material and inorganic powder material with binder added thereto. The middle layer portion (1a) has a specific gravity of less than 0.4, and the outer layer portions (1b) have a specific gravity of more than 0.7. Therefore, the board is more lightweight than a plaster board and has performance characteristics equivalent to or better than those of the plaster board.

    Abstract: A flooring material for building comprises a wood overlaid board having a pair of side faces parallel to each other and a flexible sheet which is integrally layered on the back face of the wood overlaid board. The lower portion of the wood overlaid board is provided with a plurality of nick grooves which extend from one side face to the other side face. The nick grooves are formed to such a depth and at such an interval as to impart the wood overlaid board with flexibility. The product of the specific gravity and thickness of the flexible sheet is larger than the product of the specific gravity and thickness of the wood overlaid board, thereby positioning the center of gravity of the flooring material for building in the flexible sheet.

    Abstract: A wood material, into which a synthetic resin solution or the like is injected, is held from its surface and back by heating plates in a closed container. The inside of the heating plate is provided with a heating medium passageway through which a heating medium can flow. A heating medium tank is connected to the heating medium passageway through a heating medium feeding passageway and a circulating pump. Warm water or steam are fed to the heating medium passageway. The warm water or steam have the temperature which can volatilize a medium from the heating medium tank or can volatilize the injected solution. A vacuum pump is connected to the closed container. The pressure is reduced in the closed container correspondingly to the operation of the vacuum pump.

    Abstract: A floating floor comprises a plurality of square buffer members arranged in parallel at regular intervals on a supporting structural floor, a plurality of floor panels vertically spaced above the supporting structural floor by the supporting members to form an air layer between them. The floor panels are respectively provided with a plurality of air holes through which the air layer is communicated with the outside of the floor panels. The floor panel may be a hollow panel having a plurality of cavities extending in parallel in the longitudinal direction of the panel and being opened at butt ends of the panel, each cavity being communicted with the air layer through said air holes to form passages from the air layer to the outside of the floor panel. Instead of square buffer members, there may be used square supporting members and a buffer layer so that the floor panels are vertically spaced above the buffer layer by square supporting members to form an air layer between them.

    Abstract: A floor panel for floating floor of the kind comprising floor panels elastically supported by buffer members laid on a floor framing is characterized in that the floor panel is provided with a plurality of through holes, and supporting means integrally united to its underside at proper intervals. The through holes are uniformly distributed over the floor panel and so designed that they have an upper opening diameter of 5 to 20 mm and an opening area ratio to the upper surface area of the panel within the range of from 0.1 to 20% to prevent the air between the floor panel and the buffer members from compression and expansion.
