    Abstract: A pressure containment assembly for use with a plurality of sensor assemblies for monitoring a parameter within a pressure vessel is disclosed. The pressure containment assembly includes a primary seal plate to seal against pressure in the pressure vessel and a plurality of passageways to receive the sensor assemblies. The containment assembly also includes a secondary seal cap connected to the process plate and covering the passageways. The seal cap includes a recessed region that is oriented such that, when the seal cap is sealed to the primary seal plate, the recessed region creates a sealed pressure containment chamber.

The contact portion is configured such that, when the docking device is coupled to the surface, an area of contact between the contact portion and the surface of the structure is greater than the cross-sectional area of the sheath.

The recess extends through the bottom surface of the docking device so that when the thermocouple device is positioned in the recess, the junction point is adjacent the surface of the tube. A heat shield can be attached to the docking device to shield the sheath proximate the junction point from direct and radiant heat sources.
