  • Publication number: 20090152430
Abstract: The object is to provide a brace which allows its installment to an object portion and its detachment therefrom to be carried out easily. In a brace including a brace body 3 which is attachable between attaching object portions of a structure, at each one of opposed end portions of the brace body 3, there is provided a contact attaching portion to be attached to the attaching object portion. The brace body 3 includes an expandable urging mechanism S which can be expanded to urgedly extend the brace body 3 along a longitudinal direction thereof, with the two contact attaching portions attached to the attaching object portions and a prestress introducing mechanism P which can be switched over between a state for introducing a compressive prestress to the brace body 3 along the longitudinal direction thereof and a state for releasing the introduced prestress. At least a state switchover control portion 22 of the prestress introducing mechanism is provided to be exposed outside the brace body 3.

  • Patent number: 5092433
Abstract: A device for regulating swing resistance of swingable devices such as video cameras and/or motion picture cameras. A pair of right and left shoe members to be fixed to the swingable device are mounted on the body side. Elastic O rings are commonly fitted in the peripheral surfaces of the pair of shoe members and disposed such that the O rings can be contacted with and separated from the inner peripheral surface of a back plate filled with a viscous member. The contacting state of the O rings with the inner peripheral surface of the back plate is changed from a line contact to a plane contact by adjusting operation of a control member for spreading the pair of shoe members in order to steplessly regulate a swing resistance.

  • Patent number: 4989814
Abstract: This invention relates to a universal head to vertically swing a camera, and, in particular, to a counter-balancing mechanism for counter-balancing the rotative moment arising from the displacement of the bravity center of the camera. The mechanism comprises a cam surface and a roller in a suppressing contact with each other; and said cam surface is formed on one side of the camera mounting table and, rapid free rotation of the camera mounting table is prevented by suppressing the roller contacting with cam surface upon that cam surface; the cam changes the place of contact between the cam and roller in cooperation with the roller as the camera mounting table rotates in order to enhance forces for preventing the rotation of that table.

  • Patent number: 4344623
Abstract: An improved three-dimensional combination toy may comprise a central part, a plurality of guide canopies installed above the central part to form guide spaces, (the guide canopies being laterally spaced apart from one another such that the spaces between the edges of adjacent guide canopies define guide tracks), seven movable blocks (each provided with a slide piece dimensioned to slide within and be retained by the guide spaces and attached to its block via an inwardly projecting slide leg free to move within the guide tracks) and a fixed block fastened to the central part. Preferably, a slide piece insertion opening is defined (by means of cutouts provided in the relevant canopy corners) at one particular rest position where a particular three of said guide canopies are adjacent to one another.
