    Abstract: A compressor and a method of assembling the compressor are provided. The compressor includes: a shell; a motor arranged in the shell, the motor having a stator, a spacer mounted with a first bearing therein, a drive shaft supported by the first bearing and a rotor fixed onto the drive shaft; a low bearing support; a positioning member positioning the second bearing and being connected to the low bearing support; and a second bearing connected to the positioning member and/or the low bearing support and supporting the drive shaft. Furthermore, the positioning member may be removed from or maintained in the compressor after it is assembled. The present disclosure can avoid the adverse effects of the gravity of the rotor and the drive shaft and/or the magnetic force between the rotor and the stator on positioning the bearings and the drive shaft and can improve positioning accuracy and assembling efficiency.

The winding is wound around the stator teeth and operable for generating a rotating magnetic field. The yoke has at least two cut edges at an outer periphery thereof, disposed asymmetrically relative to the center.

The first cutter is a non-rotary cutter. When the scroll is machined, the scroll rotates around its center axis, and the first cutter does not rotate around its axis, thereby improving the scroll's machining precision and machining efficiency.

The housing includes: a cannular central part; a center hole disposed at the cannular central part; a plurality of arms substantially extending radially from the cannular central part, the plurality of arms being used to be connected with a fixed scroll of the scroll compressor; and a thrust bearing surface disposed on a first side of the cannular central part in an axial direction, the thrust bearing surface being used to support an orbiting scroll. The orbiting scroll is supported with low friction, the motor supporting shell tube and the fixed scroll are connected with better alignment, and materials and machining costs are saved. In addition, the housing can provide better support for a scroll set, thereby achieving better performance.

The electric motor includes: a stator; single-phase or multiphase windings disposed on the stator; and a rotor, where the rotor includes a permanent magnet, and at least part of the permanent magnet is ferrite. By using a permanent magnet synchronous motor in a variable-speed compressor, costs of the variable-speed compressor are significantly reduced, and the performance thereof is basically the same as that of a variable-speed compressor using a rare-earth permanent magnet synchronous motor. By controlling the electric motor or the compressor, costs of the electric motor or the compressor are reduced, and moreover, and the ferrite in the electric motor can be protected from irreversible demagnetization at a low temperature, thereby improving the reliability of the compressor.
