Abstract: A mounting bracket for a hanger arm that is supporting on a hangrod is disclosed. The mounting bracket is positioned on one end of the hanger arm and the bracket is disposed for engaging the hangrod to mount the hanger arm on the hangrod. A pin is moveably positioned in the bracket with one end of the pin extending from the bracket towards the hangrod. Means is provided for biasing the moveable pin towards the hangrod whereby the pin releasably engages the hangrod to maintain the bracket and hanger arm in position on the hangrod.
Abstract: An improved mitered joint construction for connecting together mitered ends of two tubular members. One leg of an angled insert having two legs is welded to the interior of one of the tubular members and the other insert leg is trimmed and pressed into the other tubular member to hold the members at a desired angle. The members are then welded together only along the inside edge of the joint. For tubular members having a square cross section, two of the inserts hold the members together at the joint.
Abstract: An improved frictional connection or joint for interconnecting parts in knock down display fixtures. The joint is of a telescopic type having a flat strap which is attached to one member and telescopes into an opening in a second member. Spaced apart clips are provided on the strap for frictionally engaging the interior member opening when the strap is moved to a position such that both clips are within the opening.
Abstract: An extensible slotted upright for mounting cantilever type brackets is disclosed. The upright is comprised of telescoping inner and outer tubes, each tube having a plurality of spaced apart slots along diametrically opposing sides for engagement by the bracket. The tubes are oriented with respect to each other such that each slotted side of the outer tube is adjacent and parallel to a slotted side of the inner tube. A spacer is positioned between the inner and outer tubes such that a bracket may be mounted through the slots of the outer tube without restriction or interference from the inner tube. Means are provided for securing the tubes in a predetermined telescoping position.
Abstract: A store display fixture for hanging garments and the like is disclosed hag at least one hangrod affixed to at least one downwardly extending rectangular or round or square tube in telescopic engagement with another rectangular tube. The inner tube includes a compression spring-biased plunger projecting therefrom and through one of a column of openings vertically spaced apart along the outer tube. The end of the plunger is beveled to form both an upward and a downward inclined surface such that the tubes are locked into place against collapse during use but may be extended by merely pulling the downwardly extending tube upward. The tubes are retractable by manually depressing the plunger and allowing the downwardly extending tube to slide into a lower position.
