Abstract: A portable tree climbing device with platform capable of supporting a user above ground level. The main climbing platform incorporates a secured seat frame assembly which can also assume a secured upright position or collapse flat relative the platform body. The seat frame secures a seat with a folding backrest which is capable of complete 360 degree rotation relative to the platform body. A tree stand comprised of a main climbing platform and climbing aid whose angle members can be secured in either the upright, working position or collapse both flat and in overall length while in the transporting position. A tree stand where the main angle members secure an upright position by the use of slidable, pivotally connected linkages and spring loaded detent pins. A tree stand which utilizes a ridged and formed tree encircling member which is telescopically secured to the main angle members.
