  • Patent number: 11167237
Abstract: The air/oil separator uses a multi-chambered reservoir tank, which is divided into four separate internal chambers. The discharge oil passes sequentially through the chambers within the separator progressively separating and collecting the liquid oil from the discharge. The separator has an elongated reservoir chamber and three additional chambers, a deflector chamber, a screen chamber and a filter chamber located over the reservoir chamber. The separator includes two removable diffuser plates suspended within the reservoir chamber. The separator includes a replaceable screen separating the reservoir and screen chambers and filter element mounted within the filter chamber. Discharged oil enters the separator through a side oriented inlet port into the deflector chamber. The discharge oil is directed against an internal deflector wall within the deflector chamber that redirects the flow radially before falling vertically into the main reservoir chamber below.

  • Patent number: 6578605
Abstract: A modular valve assembly of this invention includes individual valve units and components, which can be selectively combined to form an integrated multi-port, multi-way valve assembly that is operated by a single common linear actuator is disclosed. The modular design of this invention is facilitated by the construction of valve housings and valve components of the individual valve units and assemblies of common plumbing pipes and fittings, such as, tee joints, threaded couplings, bushings and reducers. A single linear actuator, such as a conventional solenoid or piston cylinder mounted to the end of the valve housing, reciprocates an elongated shaft running axially through the valve interior to move various valve discs into and out of engagement with various internal valve seats, thereby controlling the valve assembly operation.

  • Patent number: 6033462
Abstract: An air/oil separator used with a closed loop oil seal system for a liquid ring vacuum pump, which incorporates a multi-chambered design for facilitating multiple stages of oil particulate separation is disclosed. The separator includes a cylindrical multi-chambered accumulator and a cylindrical filter housing, which supports a conventional filter element. The accumulator has an outer housing and an inner housing, which defines an outer reservoir chamber and an inner reservoir chamber. The accumulator also includes an inner oil conduit extending through the inner reservoir chamber, which deposits the oil discharge into the inner reservoir chamber. A perforated inner baffle is mounted within the inner housing to partially divide the inner reservoir chamber. A second outer baffle is mounted inside the outer reservoir chamber between the outer and inner housings to partially divide the outer reservoir chamber.
