Patents Assigned to Delavan Limited
  • Patent number: 9724709
Abstract: A swirl element for swirling fluid in a nozzle has a swirler body. The swirler body defines a feed channel including an axially oriented channel surface and a swirl chamber in fluid communication with the feed channel. The swirl chamber defines a radially oriented swirler surface substantially normal to the channel surface. The swirl chamber and the axially oriented channel are in fluid communication through a tangential slot for imparting swirl on fluids passing from the feed channel into the swirl chamber. The tangential slot includes a smoothly rounded surface transitioning from the channel surface to the swirler surface for providing a smooth, substantially separation free transition in fluid flow from the channel into the swirl chamber.

  • Patent number: 9457370
Abstract: A nozzle assembly includes a nozzle body defining an inlet and an opposed spray outlet for producing a spray of fluid supplied at the inlet. The nozzle body includes a radially outward extending retainer feature. An adapter having an adapter bore therethrough is provided for supplying fluid to the inlet of the nozzle body. The nozzle body is engaged within the bore of the adapter. A retainer radially outward of the adapter and nozzle body includes a retainer feature engaged to the retainer feature of the nozzle body to hold the nozzle body and adapter body together. A sleeve is engaged to the retainer radially outward thereof to prevent disengagement of the retainer features of the nozzle body and retainer. The sleeve and retainer are configured for relative movement for releasing the retainer features of the nozzle body and retainer for removal of the nozzle body from the adapter.

  • Patent number: 7611079
Abstract: A spray nozzle which employs a locking and an alignment feature to facilitate the replacement of internal nozzle components. The spray nozzle includes a nozzle body, a swirl element and an orifice disc. The nozzle body defines a central bore which extends between a fluid receiving section and a fluid discharge section and delineates a central axis and delimits an interior locating surface for swirl element and the orifice disc. The orifice disc includes a protuberance associated with the downstream surface thereof which protrudes into the spray opening of the nozzle body.
