The heat-treatment device 10 is used for obtaining the workpiece W having desired properties by the heat-processing the workpiece W while the pair of heat processing units 20 move in opposite directions along the peripheral surface of the workpiece W. The heat-treatment device 10 is configured in such a way that a pair of revolving arms 30 movable relative to the table 11 oscillate the pair of heat processing units 20 relative to the workpiece W, thereby heat-processing the peripheral surface of the workpiece W. By adopting such a configuration, it is possible to obtain a heat-treatment device heat-processing the entire circumference of a ring-shaped workpiece.

The respective unit cells (UC) have a left-handed series capacitor (C1, C2) on each of the two parallel lines (La, Lb) and have a left-handed parallel inductor (L1) between the two parallel lines (La, Lb). When power is fed between the two parallel lines (La, Lb), the two parallel lines (La, Lb) and the series capacitor (C1, C2) serve to emit a vertical polarization component, and the parallel inductor (L1) and a conductor between the two parallel lines (La, Lb) serve to emit a horizontal polarization component.

    Abstract: An electrostatic dust collector is provided with an electrode unit including first and second electrodes arranged to oppose each other across a solid insulator and having positive and negative potentials respectively applied thereto, the second electrode being so disposed that a leading edge portion thereof is located at a position inwardly of a leading edge portion of the first electrode. A gas passageway is formed on a side of the second electrode opposite the first electrode, and an electrically conductive filter element is arranged in the gas passageway so as to be in contact with the second electrode. A gas to be purified, such as air, is forcibly passed through the passageway by a motor-driven fan. The filter element consists of a material, such as steel wool, made up of a multiplicity of fine fibers to provide a large surface area. Owing to its electrical contact with the second electrode, the filter element traps airborne particles on the fine fibers by electrostatic induction.
