Abstract: A window assembly includes first, second, third, and fourth frame pieces connected together to form a rectangular frame. Each of the frame pieces has an inside face defining a glass-receiving groove and a muntin-engaging face orthogonal to the inside face and defining a muntin-receiving channel. A first muntin is oriented in the first frame piece muntin-receiving channel and the second frame piece muntin-receiving channel, and a second muntin is oriented in the third frame piece muntin-receiving channel and the fourth frame piece muntin-receiving channel. The first and second muntins cross over to engage at a first half lap joint. The frame pieces are connected to each other with rabbet joints. The window assembly can be part of a garage door arrangement. A method of making a window assembly includes connecting together the frame pieces with rabbet joints and orienting first and second muntins to engage at a lap joint.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an improved sectional roll-up door system and related method. In one embodiment, the system includes hardware that enables a sectional roll-up door to be installed in situations wherein the door-to-ceiling clearance is very limited. In another embodiment of the present disclosure, the system includes hardware that minimizes stress and wear on a door installed in a multi-track system. A method of installing a sectional door in an area with limited ceiling clearance is also provided.
Abstract: A sectional wood overhead garage doors to withstand very high wind loads such as those created by hurricane force winds typically greater than 90 mph and which can be greater than 140 mph. The door meets design pressures of ?65 psf and +48 psf. The door includes panel sections hingedly connected, each panel section having a frame assembly composed of upper and lower rails and, at least, a pair of end stiles, which form a substantially rectangular border. The frame assembly is fixedly attached to front and back surface protection members, which increase the resistance to wind-induced forces and the impact of objects. The front surface protection member may include a decorative protection assembly that provides an aesthetically pleasing, decorative surface. The decorative protection assembly can be constructed to resemble a flat panel door, a raised panel door, a turn-of-the-century carriage door, and the like.
