  • Publication number: 20230381997
Abstract: A drive member for driving a sheet of workpiece through a die machine including a backing layer comprising a first surface defined in a first dimension by a first width and defined in a second dimension by a first length and a padding layer comprising a first surface defined in the first dimension by a second width and defined in the second dimension by a second length, where the padding layer is composed of a compressible foam material. In an uncompressed state of the padding layer, the second length of the padding layer is longer than the first length of the backing layer, and in a compressed state of the padding layer, the padding layer is compressed along the second dimension to match the first length of the backing layer, and the first surface of the padding layer is bonded to the first surface of the backing layer.

  • Patent number: 11084181
Abstract: A method of installing a sleeve on a die cylinder of a die cutter, the sleeve having a thickness that reduces a gap between the die cylinder and an anvil cylinder of the die cutter. A first locking component of an anvil cover is secured in a locking component receptor of the anvil cylinder and the anvil cylinder is rotated until a second locking component of the anvil cover is pressed by the sleeve to couple with the first locking component in the locking component receptor of the anvil cylinder.

  • Patent number: 7476191
Abstract: A die cutting/scoring apparatus has die cutting/scoring and blanket covered steel anvil roller pairs arranged in sections some of which sections displace to permit dismounting of and changing die cutting/scoring rule members or printing members mounted on plywood substrates, which are bolted to a roller. The roller pairs also convey sheet material being processed through the sections. Sheet material pliable drive members are provided which replace the die cutting rule members or printing members on a roller in an idle section. The drive members comprise pliable magnetic substrates made of vinyl, rubber or elastomeric material which magnetically attach to a corresponding steel roller that is being idled. A pliable compressible foam or other rubber or plastic material high friction drive engagement member is bonded to the substrate forming a strip which is easily and quickly wrapped about a roller.
