Abstract: A microwave generator has at least one resonator with two mutually opposite resonator electrodes which are separated by a spark gap. The spark gap breaks down when a high-voltage is applied. The resonator electrodes are designed in the area of the spark gap such that they result in a two-dimensional or three-dimensional section with a substantially constant, minimum electrode separation.
Abstract: An object detection system has an image detection system with an imaging detector, a position detection system with a position detector, and optics which guide incident radiation onto both detectors. The two detectors are arranged one behind the other, in particular adjacent to one another, in the beam path. This makes it possible to achieve a simple, compact and reliable object detection system.

Abstract: A device for recording images of an object scene has a lighting unit for illuminating the object scene with several lighting elements and an optical system for directing radiation of the lighting elements reflected from the object scene onto a detector. In order to achieve a simple and compact camera, the device includes a marking device for marking the radiation from each of the lighting elements and an evaluation device for differentiating the reflected radiation of the individual lighting elements by way of the marking.

Abstract: In order to decouple the low-voltage charging source and its electrical drive from the high voltage which occurs in a Marx generator when the capacitor bank is switched from parallel connection to series connection, the high-voltage cable which is used on the output side and in which the conductive core is surrounded by a semiconductor for potential matching is also used on the input side, but for high-voltage decoupling after removal of the current-carrying core. Only the semiconductor in the high-voltage cable therefore remains as a resistance line for the small charging current into the parallel-connected capacitor bank of the Marx generator.
Abstract: A prismatic joint for an optical swiveling device has a first prism rotatably mounted about a first rotation axis and a second prism, rotatably mounted about a second rotation axis with respect to the first prism. The first rotation axis and the second rotation axis intersect one another at an intersection angle of 45°. The first prism and the second prism have a respective first side surface and a second side surface, as well as a base surface. The first side surface is inclined through the intersection angle with respect to the base surface, and the second side surface is inclined through half the intersection angle with respect to the base surface. The first and second prisms project substantially mirror-image symmetrically along the first rotation axis, and a third prism is disposed with its side surfaces adjoining, the first and the second prisms.
Abstract: A penetration-capable projectile has a casing and a fuze with a fuze housing lower part. An interface area between the casing of the projectile and the fuze housing lower part is formed with a shape and/or strength modification which prevents the fuze housing lower part from being pushed into the casing on impact with a target that is to be penetrated.

Abstract: A submunition is formulated for destroying a target in a target area. Accommodated in a casing are a signal processing unit connected to a radar antenna and/or an infrared sensor and/or another target-detecting sensor. The submunition further has target recognition software and a charge provided with a covering. To increase the versatility of use and to simultaneously improve detection and decision certainty and reliability, the target recognition software has a software interface for the transfer of at least one parameter specific to the target area.
Abstract: A microwave generator has a resonator with two mutually spaced resonator electrodes. The resonator electrodes provide a spark gap device which breaks down upon the application of a firing voltage between them. The spark gap device has at least two parallel-connected spark gaps.

Abstract: The median frequency in the emission from a microwave generator (14), which operates in a pulsed manner, is shifted when the generator (14) operates between passive reflectors (23) whose axes are parallel thereto. In the axial direction, the reflectors (23) are approximately the same length (L) as the generator (14), with length matching through telescopic rods being preferable. However, the frequency is governed primarily by the distance (D) between the reflectors (23-23) between which the generator (14) is operated. Once desired resonance conditions have been found, for example for injection of microwave radiation into the mechanical structure of an external arrangement, this frequency relationship can be fixed by the magnitude of the length of the preferably telescopic coupling piece (16) between the resonator (13) and the antenna (18).
Abstract: A modular miniaturized priming chain has a detonator and a priming booster assembly. The priming booster assembly includes a first priming booster and a second priming booster which can be modularly combined together depending on the respective power requirement at an output of the priming chain, or only the first priming booster is combined with the detonator, which is a miniature detonator.
Abstract: An image sensor system includes a detector having a plurality of detector elements and optics having a beam path from an optical element on to the detector. Calibration of the detector can be rapidly effected where the image sensor system has a reference radiating device fixed within the beam path for illuminating the detector elements.

Abstract: A guided missile has a sensor unit, a propulsion unit, and a payload unit. A missile casing forms the outer contour, extends along a longitudinal direction, and accommodates the sensor unit, the propulsion unit, and the payload unit. At least two of the units can be fitted alongside one another in the longitudinal direction. In comparison to conventional guided missiles, the guided missile is distinguished by increased modularity and thus by increased flexibility with regard to different operational scenarios.
Abstract: A spin-stabilized correctible-trajectory artillery shell has a generator in the rotation-decoupled engagement region between a canard guidance unit and its munition body. The generator can be switched over to avoid load fluctuations between an adjusting motor and a substitute load. In order to avoid an additional heat source in the interior of the guidance unit the substitute load is in the form of an electrical resistance on, at or in canard surfaces behind the afflux flow edges. The canard surfaces are preferably formed on anti-spin canards which are not adjustably mounted.
Abstract: An unmanned vehicle has a camouflage apparatus which simulates a characteristic of an animal. This allows effective camouflage to be achieved despite the unmanned vehicle being clearly visible.
Abstract: A method for production of an infrared area emitter which can be used for defense against guided missiles with infrared homing heads, for example for ships. According to the invention, an aerosol cloud which is emissive in the infrared range is produced by the reaction of a first primary aerosol composed of an aqueous solution of an electron acceptor with a second primary aerosol composed of an aqueous solution of an electron donor in order to produce the infrared area emitter. The use of primary aerosols such as these leads to emission at 3-5 and 8-14 ?m, and does not produce any visual signature either.
Abstract: A pyrotechnic charge for producing IR radiation is proposed, in which a deuterated compound is contained as fuel and/or as oxidizing agent or as fuel, as oxidizing agent and/or as binder. The use of such a pyrotechnic charge leads to a greater selective radiant emission in the ?-band and at the same time to a reduced selective radiant emission in the ?-band, so that the signature of a decoy is adapted to that of an aircraft.
