Abstract: An adjustable light-modulating device includes: a light valve disposed to receive colored light provided by a color separator of a projection display apparatus, and capable of modulating the colored light; an adjusting mechanism including a fixing frame to be disposed between the light valve and the color separator, and a mounting frame coupled rotatably to the fixing frame; and a securing unit for securing the light valve to the mounting frame. The fixing frame defines a first hole, and has a first periphery surrounding the first hole. The mounting frame defines a second hole registered with the first hole, and has a second periphery surrounding the second hole. The adjusting mechanism further includes a guide projection formed on one of the first and second peripheries and projecting toward and contacting slidably the other one of the first and second peripheries.
Abstract: A liquid crystal television includes a base unit, a rear cover, a support member, an audiovisual circuit unit, and an audiovisual output unit. The rear cover is coupled to and is disposed on top of the base unit, and has an inner cover surface that confines a cover space. The support member is received in the cover space and is disposed to lie against the inner cover surface of the rear cover. The support member includes a main wall, and a flange extending from a periphery of the main wall and cooperating with the main wall to define a compartment for mounting of the audiovisual circuit unit therein. The audiovisual output unit is disposed forwardly of the audiovisual circuit unit, is secured to the flange of the support member, and includes a display panel and a speaker that are connected electrically to the audiovisual circuit unit.
Abstract: An adjustable light-modulating device for a projection display apparatus including a color separator capable of providing colored light includes a light valve and an adjusting mechanism. The light valve is disposed to receive the colored light provided by the color separator of the projection display apparatus, and is capable of modulating the colored light. The adjusting mechanism includes a mounting frame to be disposed between the light valve and the color separator, and a securing unit for securing the light valve to the mounting frame such that the light valve is linearly displaceable and tiltable relative to the mounting frame.
Abstract: A light processing module includes a light modulator with a liquid crystal panel, and a dust protection member. The dust protection member includes a base frame, and first and second frame elements. The base frame has a color separator mounted therein. The light modulator is mounted spacedly on a component mounting side of the base frame. The first frame element is disposed between the light modulator and the component mounting side, and has a frame opening to receive the liquid crystal panel. The second frame element is disposed between the first frame element and the component mounting side, and has a frame opening to receive a wave plate. The dust protection member permits formation of a dustproof chamber between the liquid crystal panel and the wave plate, and adjustment of the wave plate relative to the color separator.
