The needle holder (3) is snapped onto the cartridge ampoule (4) or a cartridge ampoule holder containing the cartridge ampoule (4) by means of a snap-in closure means. The fastening mechanism of the invention allows sanitary application of injected medicines.

Abstract: A medical inhaler generates an aerosol of pharmaceutically effective medication to be absorbed by the respiratory tract of a patient includes a reservoir (1) of liquid medication, a conveyor (2) to expel the liquid from the reservoir, an atomizing vibrator (3) and a feed line (4) to conduct the liquid between the reservoir and the vibrator. The conveyor and the vibrator can be controlled by a process controller (15) which can include a microprocessor. Discharge of liquid medicine is both coordinated with the vibrator and accurately dosable and achieves optimal atomization of the medicine.

Abstract: An insert head (102) is tightly inserted in the rearward end of a commercially available ampoule (101) equipped with a plunger (100). A galvanic, gas-generating cell is arranged in the insert head (102). The plunger (100) is driven forward by the gas generated by this cell. A throttle device (103) constituted by a capillary tube is connected to the Luer's syringe (109) of the ampoule (101), the infusion fluid driven out by the plunger (100) flowing through this throttle means into a catheter (104).

A threaded rod (11) forming the piston rod of an injection ampule (15) is placed into the driver sleeve (8) in a non-rotary but longitudinally shiftable fashion. A nut (21) provided with an external toothing (20) is rigidly held on the rear end of the injection ampule (15) in the casing (1). A connecting part (27) provided with a catheter (32) receives the outlet piece (30) of the injection ampule (15) and is screwed to the casing (1) so that the exchangeable injection ampule (15) is completely surrounded by the casing (1) and the connecting part (27) and the outlet piece (30), resting close to the connecting part (27), of the injection ampule (15) communicates with the catheter (32).
