Patents Assigned to Dixie-Union Verpackungen GmbH
  • Patent number: 5666868
Abstract: In a machine (1) for the treatment or processing of foodstuffs, e.g. the slicing of sausage, the incidence of contamination by germs in the casing (3) of the machine (1) is reduced by the provision of a heater arranged to heat the casing (3) and/or air contained within it to an elevated temperature. Most preferably, the heater comprises means (32,14) for heating and circulating air in the casing (3) and means (9) for directly heating the casing (3) itself.

  • Patent number: 5398479
Abstract: An apparatus for inserting stacks of goods (1), for example sausage slices, into hollow containers (4) for packaging, the interior size of the hollow containers (4) corresponding substantially to the dimensions of the goods, includes grippers (2, 7) some of which (7) remain substantially above the edge of the opening of the hollow containers during the insertion procedure and some of which (2) are insertable slightly in the opening to facilitate depositing the goods in the desired position for packaging. Extension members (5) which grip below the goods for packaging can also be provided.

  • Patent number: 4630729
Abstract: The package consists of a strip of plastics foil or sheeting and a strip of paper, whereby the two strips are sealed together at their margins, so as to permit opening by a peeling action. The seal consists of two groups of sealing elements. The sealing elements of group 1 are of small dimensions and ensure "sealability", while the sealing elements of group 2 are linear having a restricted width and which are arranged such that they run transversely to the direction of peel. The arrangement combines a high degree of mechanical strength with ease of peeling during which the tearing-out of fibres from the packaging is minimized.
