Patent number: 5591338Abstract: A fluid filter is of the kind having a tubular flow-through core surrounded by a pleated wire cage around which a filter medium in the form of a pleated bag is mounted with the pleats in the bag extending into and around the pleats of the wire cage. The filter medium is formed by a sheet of filter material having draw-string ends which fold over and are tied down on opposite ends of the cage. Sealing assemblies which eliminate the need for conventional gaskets are used to seal the folded over and tied down ends of the filter medium. The arrangement facilitates the assembly, removal and re-use of filter media.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 1995Date of Patent: January 7, 1997Assignee: Dollinger CorporationInventors: Dean M. Patent number: 4872890Abstract: A multi-stage entrained liquid-gas separator includes a housing divided into upper and lower chambers. The lower chamber is provided with a tangential gas-liquid stream inlet into an annular chamber in which the large entrained liquid drops are centrifugally impinged upon the chamber wall and drained into a lower sump. From the annular inlet chamber the gas-liquid stream is caused to abruptly change direction and flow into a lower-pressure area of the lower chamber for further releasing entrained droplets. From this area the gas-liquid stream is made to flow into an inner chamber provided within the lower chamber and communicating with the upper chamber. A preseparator housed in the inner chamber separates by impingement and coalescence liquid droplets still entrained in the gas-liquid stream and drains the coalesced liquid into an inner sump which in turn drains via a trap into the lower sump.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 1988Date of Patent: October 10, 1989Assignee: Dollinger CorporationInventors: Ned L. Patent number: 4407663Abstract: This filter module comprises a rectangularly shaped housing made from four separate parts--namely, a pair of rectangularly shaped front and rear sections, respectively, and a pair of rectangular end panels or caps releasably fastened to opposite ends of the front and rear sections to hold them in registry with each other. The two end panels have dovetail-shaped tongue and groove connections with confronting surfaces on the front and rear sections of the module, so that the end panels can be shifted in one direction to secure the front and rear sections together, and in another direction to disassemble the front and rear sections. A plurality of gas discharge tubes project from the rear section coaxially into a plurality of filter tubes, which project rearwardly from gas inlet openings in the front section of the module.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 1982Date of Patent: October 4, 1983Assignee: Dollinger CorporationInventor: Clyde W. Patent number: 4333579Abstract: This housing is made from four rectangular panels that are cut to desired lengths from an aluminum extrusion, and arranged in rectangularly spaced relation to define a large, rectangular opening. A rail extends along each longitudinal side edge of each panel and has therein a plurality of spaced, parallel, longitudinally extending recesses, which open at opposite ends on inclined, plane surfaces that are formed on opposite ends, respectively, of each panel. The inclined ends of the panels are secured together by four right angular corner clips at each end of the housing. The two legs of each clip project slidably and frictionally into a pair of registering openings formed in the two panels which form a given corner of the housing. A metal strap or handle extends transversely across one end of the opening in the housing and has rolled end edges which are slidably mounted in a pair of confronting, generally circular recesses that are formed in the side rails of the panel.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 1980Date of Patent: June 8, 1982Assignee: Dollinger CorporationInventor: Lawrence C.
