The invention is characterized in that the knife (2) can be arranged non-positive and positive interlocking at the comminution cylinder or the toothed body (1).

Abstract: A comminution device including at least one comminution cylinder supported rotating in a machine frame with at least one comminution tool arranged on it, and at least one counter cutter interacting with the comminution tool, and at least one sieve device for the comminuted material the housing of which encircles the comminution cylinder at least partly, the sieve device and the counter cutter forming a common structural component.
