Abstract: A mixing container and an adapter to interconnect the mixing container to a second container to permit intermixing of the contents of the containers. The mixing container has a neck with a plurality of raised circumferential ribs thereon. The adapter has a central cylindrical sleeve. A first end of the sleeve is surrounded by a cylindrical skirt. The interior surface of the first end of the sleeve has a plurality of circumferential grooves which enable the adapter to engage the ribs on the neck of the mixing container. The interior surface of the cylindrical skirt has a screw thread to enable the adapter to engage a conventional threaded container neck. The opposite, or second, end of the sleeve has a cutting sleeve therein, concentric with the sleeve. The cutting sleeve is adapted to pierce a seal on the mixing container. The second end of the sleeve frictionally engages the raised circumferential ribs on the mixing container during the mixing operation.
Abstract: A closure assembly for a container has a dispensing opening which is selectably closed by a cover. To indicate that the container has been tampered with, the cover has a portion connected thereto by a weak zone which is severed as a result of moving the cover to an open position.
Abstract: A first container having a first material therein has a piercing tip on a dispensing member which is movable relative to the container to control flow from the container. The first container has a movable portion for facilitating introduction of air into the container. A second container having a second material therein has an inlet and an outlet. The inlet is closed and adapted to be pierced by said tip to facilitate introduction of the first material into the second container.
Abstract: A container cap having threads on a surface thereof is integral in one piece with a flexible bulb having a wall thickness thinner than the wall thickness of the cap. A pipette is coaxial with the cap and bulb and welded to the cap. The cap, bulb and pipette are made from a polymeric plastic.
Abstract: A glass container has an opening closed by a quick-release plastic cap. Each of the cap and bottle have double pitch threads in mating engagement. Lugs on the cap are in contact with lugs on the bottle which interfere with unthreading the cap. A lower end portion of the cap is deformable radially inwardly for causing the cap lugs to disengage from the bottle lugs whereby the cap may be unthreaded.
Abstract: A one piece polymeric plastic tray has a plurality of U-shaped troughs. At least one upright end wall is integral in one piece with and pivotably connected to said partitions at the bight portion of the troughs. Said end wall and at least some of said partitions having cooperating means to facilitate latching said end wall in an upright disposition generally perpendicular to said partitions.
